Chapter Twelve

Yoongi's POV

I've been thinking about what Dean told me about the missings back home nonstop. I've been trying to think of the best training tactics for everyone and which roles to place everyone under. I looked over everyone's papers sprawled out on the bed, looking at their strong points. I have most of them separated into strengths, brains, or shot; the only ones I can't figure out are the shyer members.

I heard a knock on the door, "Come in!"

Amber came through the door, stopping in the doorway, "Hey, I talked to Kris, he said that him and the guys would be at the house waiting for us when we get back."

"That's great to hear.", I responded, looking at her.

"Have you found anymore information on the missings?", Amber asked, leaning against the door frame.

I sat back against the bedframe and sighed, "Not as much as I was hoping I could find. All the news sites just say that there are local delinquents out and about, not really even talking about the situation as missings. It's like if someone isn't perfect, they don't even notice when you aren't around."

Amber nodded, "Yeah, that's the world we live in today. We will find them and bring them home." I nodded, Amber leaving a couple seconds later. I decided to go downstairs as well, leaving everything where it's sitting on the bed. I saw Jimin sitting with his little friend group consisting of Jeonghan, Ren, Areum, and the newest member, Leo.

I walked over and crouched down beside Jimin, "Hey babe, I'm gonna go on a walk to clear my head. You okay to take over for a little bit?"

Jimin smiled and nodded, "Yeah, call me if you need anything. I love you."

I smiled, giving him a kiss, "I love you too."

I left the hotel and went to the beach by the restaurant owned by Chaerin's parents. I took off my shoes, leaving them by the dock, and walked along the shoreline. I watched couples walk hand in hand, families playing in the shallow water, and people at the fancy restaurant that overlooks the beach.

Seeing this made me think of how my life would be if it were normal. Would I have a good relationship with my family? Would I have ever met the family I have now? Would I have ever met Jimin?

My thoughts were interrupted by my phone buzzing. I looked at the contact and saw a name I haven't heard in a long time.

"Irene. I didn't expect to hear from you.", I answered.

A soft voice came from the other side of the line, "Yeah, I didn't expect to have to call you but it's serious. Have you heard about the local missings?"

"Yeah, Dean called me about them yesterday, why do you ask?", I heard her breathing quicken.

"There were more taken, two more girls and one guy. Yoongi, one of them was Wendy.", her voice cracked as she said Wendy's name. I knew how Irene felt about Wendy, but she was too shy to ever tell Wendy about her feelings.

"Oh my god, Irene. I'm so sorry.", I heard her sniffling through the phone, she sounded broken.

"Yoongi, please, I need your help. The girls and I have looked through her things, called her family and her closest friends, no one knows where she was last.", Irene sobbed.

"How do you know for sure one of them is her?", I asked.

"There was a letter, it was signed by her.", she said confidently. Dean never said anything about any letters.

"Okay Irene, I need you to listen to me. I need you and the other girls to go to my house, there are a couple of maids and guards there, they will let you in. I will call Dean and have him and Ailee come as well. I'm gonna go back to the hotel and get everyone to start packing so we can come home a couple days early. Don't worry, we will find them.", I said.

"Thank you Yoongi, I will find a way to pay you back. I promise.", Irene said, crying softly.

"Don't worry about that, you're family, we help each other.", I told her. We said our goodbyes and I hung up. I grabbed my shoes from the dock and made my way back to the hotel.

It took about 10 minutes to get back to the hotel, everyone was still in the lobby hanging out or watching the tv. I walked over to Jimin and asked him to come with me. We stood outside for a minute so I could explain.

"While I was on my walk, my friend Irene called me and told me about some more missings from today. There were two more girls and one guy. One of the girls was her friend.", I told him, summarizing the story.

"Oh my gosh! How is she doing?", Jimin asked concerned.

"Not good, she's actually in love with her friend that was taken. She's taking it pretty hard."

Jimin shrank sadly, "Oh my gosh, that's terrible."

I nodded, "It is, that's why I wanted to tell you we have to go home sooner than expected. I've been thinking about it since last night and I just can't stand by. We have to go home and get to work."

Jimin immediately agreed, "Yes, we have to do something."

We went back inside and I stood in front of the doors, Jimin standing at my side.

"Everyone, there is some news I need to share.", everyone turned put their attention on me. "I received another phone call from a friend. She told me about some more missings from today, a total of three. One of them was a close friend of hers. That is now a total of 17 missings, and there is still no one doing anything about it. Therefore, we are going to take matters into our own hands once again. I'm sorry but this will be the last night of our vacation, we are needed at home. Now, if you all would please go and pack, we will be leaving by noon tomorrow."

No one hesitated and went straight to pack their things, Jimin and I following behind the last few. Once we got to our room, Jimin grabbed our suitcases out of the office and we started packing away our things.

After we finished packing, Jimin and I laid in bed, Jimin laying on my chest with my arm around his waist.

"Goodnight Yoongi, I love you.", Jimin said, drawing patterns on my chest.

"Goodnight baby, I love you too.", I replied. I laid there as Jimin fell asleep, playing with his hair while I was thinking.

We're going to save them. We are going to save them.
