I hate it here.

I wish I could have protected her.

But I didn't.

The doctor said she'll be fine in a few weeks. They're waking her up today, she's been here for about a week already and I refused to leave the room because I know that if I left, I wouldn't be let back in.

I watched as they removed some of the iv's and her breathing tube and she rested peacefully on her bed afterwards.

She woke up a few hours later and I was trying my hardest to stay strong for her.

"Fuck rem, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have dragged you into this mess, I'm sorry you have to deal with my fucked up family and I'm sorry you have to deal with me in the hospital. You probably want nothing to do with me" she sobbed and I held her close.

"Hazel, I love you, nothing is going to change that, you're beautiful to me, you make my whole world better" I said pulling away.

"Hazel I want to spend the rest of my life with you" I said pulling out a small box as I got down on one knee, "hazel can you promise that you won't leave me and marry me?" I said hopeful.

I looked at her as tears welled up in her eyes, "yes" she said and I jumped up and kissed her, this was different than any other though, it was pure happiness.
