Chapter 4
Talikud
"I brought many swimsuits! I searched the beaches, sis ang gaganda! Swear!" Halatang excited si Clem. Nagpaalam na kami kina Piper at Avery kahapon at inggit na inggit sila saamin gusto nilang sumama, too bad they can't go with us.
It's already 9 am and we are now in the airport. Our flight is about to board. I'm pretty excited but of course, at the same time I'm quite nervous.
The flight was maybe a hour and a half or two maybe.
To: Manang Miraflor
Good morning po! Nakababa na po kami ng eroplano.
She didn't replied to my message but instead, she called me.
"Hello, Savi?" Panimula ni manang.
"Hello po! Ah, naghihintay lang po kami ng bagahe."
"Ayos lang, hija! Nandito lang kami sa labas, ah? Mamumukhaan naman siguro kita kaagad,"
"Sige po. Thank you po!"
"Walang anuman, hija," she said and ended the call. As soon as we got our baggages, we headed out.
Davao International Airport
"Savi!" The woman I saw called me. I guessed right. That she's Manang Miraflor. I don't know I think I shouldn't call her Manang, though. She's young looking. Lumapit kami sakanya at nag mano kami sakanya at sa asawa niya ata.
"Hija, tingin ko kilala niyo na ako. Just call me Tita Flor! 'Wag manang, nakakatanda naman!" We laughed because we totally agree.
She asked.
"Wala pong problema! Mas okay nga po 'yun." Clem said. Tumango lang ako tila sumasang ayon.
We rode a taxi on our way to the port. I was amazed because there is no traffic at all! Nang makarating kami sa port. We then again rode a boat to Talikud Island. Tita Flor said that Talikud Island is different from Samal Island. It's an Island behind Samal obviously from it's name Talikud.
It was a 30 minute ride, I guess? All I can say is ang ganda at ang linis ng tubig.
Although, we are here to forget about the stress in Manila even for a small time but that doesn't mean that we will chill all along. Clem and I talked about this already.
Two-storey, at maraming bulaklak. I suddenly remembered mom. I wonder how are they doing now?
