Chapter 5
La Isla Talikud
"What time is it already?" I asked Clem.
"It's 2:28 pm, sis." She replied. 32 minutes after we finish our duty, iba nanaman ang mag babantay mamaya. Tita Flor and us agreed that we'll work from 9 am to 3 pm. And even though nag t-trabaho kami para sa pag tira namin she insisted that she'll pay us even just 100 each a day. We declined at first but we thought it's also okay para may pang bili kami ng personal things.
We're already staying here for almost a week now. Unti unti na kaming nakaka adjust and all I can say is, finally! Peace! The people are so nice. We even met kids in there 6 or 7 years old named Samuel and Danica, kids from the neighbor, they call us "ate ganda" which I find cute.
Our job is not heavy at all! It's actually pretty boring. Our uniform isn't that bad also, we're wearing a summer-printed buttoned down polo, and shorts, tapos may name tag lang. Very casual.
"Hey, I'll go to the restroom muna, ha?" Clem said, I just nodded.
"Good afternoon, Sir! How may I help you?" I said smiling.
"Sir?" I asked again when he didn't responded. I don't know why, kilala niya ba ako? I can't tell if I know him because he's wearing sunglasses.
He then removed his glasses off, "I expected to see you again but here?" It was the guy in the bar! 'Yung sinermonan ko dahil nag take advantage sa babaeng may jowa!
What the fuck?! Anong ginagawa ng hayop na 'to dito?!
"W-What the freak? Why are you here??" Tanging nasabi ko. Not gonna lie, he looks much better with his plain white buttoned down polo at ang tatlo ay hindi naka butones, matched with navy blue shorts.
Pogi ka sana eh kaso first impression lasts. Bleh! Tf ang mature naman ng belat.
"Aren't you supposed to be kind to your customer?"
"What are you doing here, Sir?" I then said with a better tone.
"What are YOU doing here?" He emphasized the word 'you' as if I'm the one who should be asked.
"None of your business, now what do you need?" Supladang sagot ko.
Patuloy lang sa pag a-attitude!
"Can you state all the rest house that you offer, Miss.." he paused and looked at my name tag, ".. Savi, huh?"
I hissed, "we only offer bungalow houses, sir. We have a standard one which is good for 1 or 2 persons which is 899 per night." What the fuck is he listening? "We also have a deluxe one which is good for 2 to 4 persons with free breakfast and it's for 1,299 per night." When I finished talking, tumingin siya saakin.
"I'm sorry, can you repeat that?" Fuck. Is this torture? I just rolled my eyes and repeat what I said kahit labag sa loob ko.
This maniac, really! And before I even finished my words, "I'll take one deluxe room." Pucha nakinig naman pala eh!
Kinuha ko ang susi sa room 106 at ibinigay ito sakanya, "here's your key, sir. If you need anything, just call the front desk. Thank you." Walang enerhiyang sabi ko and I sat down.
