CH#1 ENCOUNTER

I was unable to move, with the growing darkness, trying to digest the information and the shock, I was left alone in the graveyard. Mr Edward told me that tomorrow, he will be waiting for me in the house.

She is wearing my mother's locket.

And that was enough to take me back to the reality. I have to talk to her. I have to ask her. Why did she do it. She was an innocent soul. I remember when I first saw her in the university.

She enters the classroom room in a baby pink top and dark Jeans, holding her books tightly pressed to her chest with both hands, nervously looking down to the floor and bumps into our most terrible teacher Mr White. She jerks away from him landing on the floor straight on her butt.

Class breaks into a laughter. She awkwardly looks towards furious Mr. White, who is looking down to her, trying to control, not to vent out his anger on a poor soul.

"Miss anonymous, are you planning on taking my lecture there," Mr White points to the floor, clenching his teeth.

"No..... Sir!... Sorry .... Sir!" she stammers, finding her books, trying to get up but in the attempt she falls again.

Another laughter engulfs the whole class.

She finally gets up, holding her books again, eyes finding a place to sit.

"And what's your name miss, care to introduce yourself," Mr White sets his glasses, taking a register out from the dice.

"Mmm, My Name is Rose Rickard, and I'm new here, on scholarship," she states, confusedly searching for a seat.

"Then, Miss Rose you can take the seat beside Adam," feel free to ask him anything, he is one of the good students in this class.

"And Adam, you, pick up your bag from the empty seat beside you, and help her to settle in the new environment," he puts the register away.

I nod and look at the beautiful, innocent girl coming towards me. I wonder should I believe in love at first.

May be I should.

And she passes me a weak smile before sitting on the chair beside me. And I reply with a nod and a genuine smile.

Barking dogs, took me out of my memories of Rose. She was pure like a fresh rose. I walked towards the car that Mr Edward left for me.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I stood in a grand palace like house, every thing was nearly placed where it belonged, but why my mother was not here? Why we were not invited here? She belonged here, with my so called father.
I wish things were different. I wish he didn't leave. we could have been living a happy life.
I was greeted by two servants, who accompanied me to my room and I came to know that the room in-front of mine is her Room. I was anxious whether I should talk to her now or in the morning because right now it was 10 pm and she might be asleep.
I nervously settled on the king sized bed. This room was a masterpiece, may be all rooms were like this. Of course my 'Father in name' was rich like hell. He could afford anything but, My mother and I, lived a miserable life at the start. May be, Mom lived a miserable life by providing me with every single thing that was essential, working day and night shifts, without taking any rest that eventually made her ill.
I dreamed of providing her with everything once I grew up. When I reached that level, where I could support her easily, she left me alone in this world and then rose was the person next to me in that phase. She was there with me as a friend, until one day I confessed, and she disappeared.
I stand next to her door, knocked few times and got no response, finding the room open I entered. There was dim light of side lamps, and few dim lights on the ceiling. My eyes searched her for her but she was no where to be seen. I was about to turn and get back to my room, suddenly I heard click of the door knob.
I turned towards the source of the sound and she was there, coming out of the washroom and what the hell. In the silk nighty barely covering her body up-to her middle of the thighs.
She looks like a goddess.
I blinked waiting for her nervous response, but in her eyes there was no hesitation, no recognition. Damn how much she changed within few months.
I cleared my throat, wanting to start a conversation.
"So, you're the long forgotten son of Mr Wilson," that was not a question. She walked past me, towards the bed and sat on it crossing her legs.
I should control myself.
I felt something in her eyes, in her tone, in her body language, all the things were indicating that she was insulting me. I felt rage but I loved her.
She is not the person you loved. She is changed.
I pushed back my inner voice and stared at her. Her face was emotionless now her eyes were examining my body. I felt, something broke inside me.
"Rose, where did you leave?"
"Why did you leave me?" I took a step towards her.
"Excuse me Mister, if you are here to claim your dead father's money, then I'm sorry to disappoint you. You'll not get even a penny" she took lotion from the side table and started applying gently on her arms. "And if you're here for sympathy then sorry again you have found the wrong person," she stated carelessly putting the lotion on its place again.
"Rose, you have changed," I mumbled. "I don't want money, you know I was never greedy," I took few steps more towards her, leaving one foot between us.
"I don't know if you're greedy or not, just get out of my room. I don't want to see baggers."
Now that's a straight insult.
"Did you married my father for money? Will you do anything for money?" I raised her chin with my one hand, standing closer to her.
"Yes, I married him because of his money and I'll do anything for money," she said looking straight into my eyes, daringly. And that was enough to make me furious to my limits.
I leaned closer to her, my breath brushing her face.
"Then let's make a deal."
