Kody's confused heart

Kody's POV
I woke up to see to see Lumine our faces were inches apart. I felt heat rise up to my face, I was blushing.I turned and faced the ceiling glancing out the window seeing it was at least the end of the day.The sun setting making light shine through the clear glass of the window orange and yellow illuminating the room.After a couple of minutes I heard footsteps coming from outside the room. I quickly sat up and saw the door open slowly to show my dad.

"Oh Kody your awake,"he stated walking up to me

"Ya,"I whispered my voice hoarse from sleep

"Sooo do you want me to get anything for you guys,"He chirped cheerfully, I rolled my eyes trying to keep in a chuckle

"Umm no but I'll call you if Lumine needs anything when he wakes up,"I say looking at Lumine

"Okay well haller if you need anything,"he said then walked out

I laid back down and looked at Lumine shapeless emotions tugging at my heartstrings

What the hell

I thought as my heart wanted me to hug him,protect him, and even make him mine.I shook my head furiously my thoughts almost over taking my actions.I looked back up the ceiling blushing a dark crimson after a couple seconds my blush turned into a light pink shade.After a couple a couple minutes that felt like an eternity, I heard a groan from next to me.Lumine started to flutter his eyes open his multicolored eyes opened slightly

Beautiful

I thought as the light from the sun setting illuminated him as he slowly sat up looking at me.After a couple minutes of staring at each other Lumine coughed braking the silence.I rubbed his back as he coughed furiously.

"Are you okay," I asked after he was done coughing, worry coating my words.He nodded his eyes slightly opened making him look like he was in a daze

"I'm gonna go to get you something to help that coug-," I started to say but Lumine just wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me back on the bed.I sat there eyes widened in surprise as he hugged me from behind.I turned toward him after a couple of minutes and saw he was asleep.I smiled and carried him to his side and got back in to bed.Once I was in a comfortable position Lumine moved toward me he pressed his head against my chest and wrapped his arms around my waist. I wrapped my arms around his chest and we cuddled as sleep consumed me.

Time skip
I woke up to see my dad looking out the window, I was still in a daze from sleep to remember what position me and Lumine were in.After a couple of minutes I got out the daze I quickly sat up as my dad turned around.

"Ohhhh~Someone's finally awake~"he teased and that's when I released he had a camera

"This isn't what it looks like!"I said a crimson blush spreading from ear to ear

"Oh~then explain these,"he teases shoving pictures of me and Lumine cuddling.I looked down as my blush intensified.After a couple of minutes of my dad teasing me I heard a groan from beside me.I looked over to Lumine and saw his eyes flutter open, I have to admit he looked really cute waking up from his sleep.He sat up slowly rubbing his eyes before he rubbed at his throat he looked over at us with his beautiful eyes that looked like they were begging for something.Some shapeless emotion that was telling me to protect the wolf next to me, was tugging on my heartstrings.

"Hey dad can you get some tea and cough medicine for Lumine,"I asked but it sounded more like a demand then asking.I could tell both of them were surprised about my tone of voice but dad just nodded and walked out.

"Hey Lumine you should lay down until the medicine and tea come,"I say with a small smile spreading across my lips.He nodded and laid down I laid down next to him and played with his white fluffy wolf ears making him quiver and lean in to my touch as he started to fall asleep. I laid there my hand still on Lumine's head as I spaced out thinking about well anything.After a couple of minutes I heard the door open and saw my dad with tea, medicine, and some crackers.

"Here,"He said placing the plate on the side table

"I'll let him sleep for a couple minutes before taking the medicine," I say looking at Lumine not noticing I was moving some hair out of his face.

"Kody,"I looked over at him and saw his serious face "Do you like Lumine?"he asked making me blush

"I- I don't know,"I stutter looking down

"Hmm,"he hummed in response before getting ready to leave

"Hey wait!," I  yelled but then looked over to Lumine to see he was still asleep

He such a heavy sleeper

I thought before looking back at my dad

"I-I well I sometimes feel these I don't know shapeless emotions when I'm alone with him and umm I-i don't know,"I try to explain every word making my blush and making me want to hide in a corner

"Kody do you know what it means to be in love?"he asked walking up to me.I shook my head and he chuckled

"It's when your happy to be with them it's when your thinking about that person constantly it's when you feel like you want more then there friendship,"At this point I was shaking my heart was racing I felt like I was going to cry, "It's when you crave them every second, minute, hour of everyday,"he finished saying

"I-I,"I stuttered  blushing a deep crimson

Do I really like Lumine like THAT

"I do like Lumine.....but I don't think..... I'm that far into it I-i don't know,"I said again looking up at him trying to not to stutter

"Ahh your heart is confused Kody...wait a couple of weeks you'll see you'll fall for him and crave him,"he said and then left the room leaving me with my confused heart

Okay I hope you enjoyed this chapter I'll try making a chapter every week if I don't get any writers block that is haha
