"what about inviting jisung to the rink?"

donghyuck and mark whipped their heads over to chenle almost a bit too fast. they knew exactly what he was asking.
every saturday night, after closing, the employees would gather in mark's car (since his was the biggest, but not by much. it wasn't that great of a car, since it was blatantly a used one). they'd always drive to the roller rink, and this becomes their saturday ritual.

"what made you think of that?" mark asked the boy. he leaned over the counter with curiosity written all over his face, followed by subtle smirk.

"well i dunno... he seems kinda cool, right?" he didn't really expect an immediate answer–or an answer at all. but in return, chenle noticed donghyuck quietly agree.

"yeah, he's pretty chill..." he mumbled, mark looking over at him as the words came out of his mouth.

"i mean, usually it's your call for these kinds of things–y'know since you guys have been here the longest," chenle wrapped up. "well...that and jaemin told me to bring it up to you so–"

"yeah, okay, chenle..." mark finally answered, going back to work. as he turned away for a second. he heard chenle gasp. and he could already picture the smile on the younger's face.

"you're saying yes?"

"yeah. now get back to work!"

jaemin pushed the door open, hearing the faint chimes that complimented the creaking of the door. he glided on the tiles, smoothly making his way towards the counter. he smacked his hands down on the countertop, grabbing the attention of mark and donghyuck.

"nobody's coming around today, and i'm getting bored!" he groaned dramatically. from the looks of his two coworkers, they were not amused by his theatricals.

donghyuck scrunched his nose up, lightly attempting to shove jaemin's hands off the counter.
"get off my counter!" he scolded. "what do you want me to do about you being bored? hm?"

jaemin pouted his lips, a small whimper escaping through them as he looked over at mark.
"your boy is being moody again...".

the older practically choked on air, stepping away from the counter for a moment. when he returned, he pointed at jaemin with a scolding type of glare...although he didn't say anything just yet.

"he's not my boy!" he insisted. "go see if you can help around somewhere... the counter's full.."

jaemin huffed, sliding himself off the countertop.
"have fun being bored without me!" he said, before looking around for something to do.

"is it just me, or has business been really quiet today?" jeno remarked, turning around to face renjun. "i mean, we haven't had to do a lot today–not that i'm complaining..."

renjun scoffed at his words, looking back at him briefly. "oh yeah, i know..."

jeno shortly chuckled at his response, hoping their conversation would continue. even though he didn't mind just him talking and renjun listening, he also liked when renjun talked back to him. for reasons unknown to him, he enjoyed hearing whatever renjun had to say. jeno liked hearing renjun's voice.
