The next mission

Keith pov

"Wait then this makes us boyfriends?" I Asked him
"You want me to be your boyfriend?" Lance asked with a wicked smile
"What do you think?" I Ask back
"Keith kogane" started lance "would you be my boyfriend?" Asked lance
I did not respond, I just kissed him again
"Hey, you have to stop doing that so suddenly!" He complained
I laughed at the comment "I would love to be your boyfriend" I rested on his chest. We enjoyed the silence for a while until my anxiety could not be contained anymore
"Lance?"i asked
"Yes?" He replied
"When you were a child ... you said something else that unsettled me a little" I said thinking about how I could ask him
"Oh damn, what did I say?" He said covering his face
"Well you were bothering pidge and when I arrived and asked you to stop bothering, you answered "don't hit me" " lance interrupted me
"Oh, when we misbehaved, my mom sometimes beat us with her flip-flop," he said nervously.
"Don't lie to me, we asked you and you said your dad used to hit you" I said sitting in front of him
"I ... um-" Lance began to get nervous and his eyes filled with tears
"It's ok, I'm not going to make you tell me if you do not want to," I told him, grabbing his hand
"he did ... and I never defended myself ... my sisters and my mom even moved out... but ... but I didn't, he decided to stay with me ... I was very young ... I did not know what to do... so I never said anything ... I just pretended to be fine for so many years" Lance huged me very tightly I couldn feel my shirt filling with his tears
"Hey, don't worry everything will be fine, we're together in this, and if someone dares to hurt you I promise I'll defend you" I said trying to calm him down I'm not good at these things but what I said was all true I would never let someone hurt lance again
"Thank you keith" he wiped his tears "I feel better, I needed to get that out "
"Everything will be fine, now let's go to lunch we have an important mission" I got out of bed
"Ok, let's go" Lance said getting out of bed
We started walking through the corridors
"Hey, how do you plan to tell them that you are now my boyfriend?" Lance asked me, holding my hand
"Why me?!" I asked looking at him
"Because you love me!" He  said smiling
"You- uhg! That damn smile ... ok" I couldn't say no after all he was right.
We sat at the table next to each other still with our hands together under the table. we ate for a while in silence until allura started a conversation
"It's good to have you back lance"Allura said
"Yeah! Thanks, I gad I'm back too"lance replied
"Keith already told you everything?" Shiro asked looking at Keith
"He told me the most important parts" said Lance
"Talking about important things" I started "there is something important that I have to tell you" I continue
"Lance is your boyfriend" pidge said while eating
"How?" Lance said looking at her
"It's too obvious, I also hear you two talking in the hallway" explained pidge
"Oh, true" lance said a little embarrassed
"Well, they finally admitted that they like each other" said shiro and hunk so synchronized
"That was easier than I thought" I said looking at lance
"Everyone was waiting for it" said Lance looking at me back
"Well paladins, mission time!" Coran said
"You will have to infiltrate these galras ships apparently "abandoned" as there are 2 ships will have to be divided into groups"allura explained to us while showing us some pictures of abandoned ships
"Number 1 and 2 go together" coran referred to me and shiro
"And for everything that has happened to lance, it would be better if you stayed behind in this mission, you haven't been eating well you must be hungry and tired" said Allura.
"It's not true I feel perfectly-" he was interrupted by a yawn and a growl in his stomach "-bad, I'm very hungry"
"Well, the others go to your lions!" Ordered allura
"Wait keith!" Lance called me, everyone else went to start the mission
"What's wrong?" I asked turning around
Before I could  even look at him lance kissed me, it was the first time he started the kiss then I followed him
"Do not risk too much out there, I need you back" he said after separating from the kiss
"Don't worry i'll return safe and sound the ships are abandoned" I said ruffling his hair
"I know but still" lance said with puppy eyes
"I'll be back, I have to go" I said giving him another quick kiss

Yeah i kid of did this just to do that chessy scene don't blame me i just wanted an excuse to write that(>_<)
