Upon my alarm clock waking me up, I greet the next morning. Since today will start my first day of work I set my clock early. I'm not feeling much of a morning person today though, a little sluggish. This calling for a stimulating drink before I head to work and maybe a bit to eat. Once I've showered and dressed I head to the cafe to ask Mira for a strong coffee.

As I enter the lounge I notice three men sitting at the counter, two I recognize. The other one I've not met yet. 'But holy cow!! It's the pink haired guy from the gym!!' My heart starts to race as I feel my cheeks warm up. Thinking back on watching him like a creep. I sigh in hopes it'll calm my beating heart.

"Meow~!"

Happy cries as I pass the sofa and take a seat, one stool over from the pink haired guy. Happy hops to the stool between us. As I go to pet Happy on the head, my hand bumps another. But this hand is inhumanly warm and large. My eyes widen with embarrassment and I jerk my hand back into my lap. "S-sorry.." I stutter in a low voice.

Thankfully Mira walks over with perfect timing. "Strong coffee and breakfast, Lucy?" She asks with a bright smile. "P-Please, thanks Mira.." I quietly respond as she asked about eggs and I nod. She then disappears into the kitchen. I feel Happy crawl into my lap and settles down.

"Lucy, Morning!" Gray greets from the right side of the pink haired guy. I look up to greet him back, still embarrassed trying to avoid His gaze. "Morning Gray, Jellal you too." Jellal nods with his greeting not looking up from his news paper. "Thanks for inviting to the bar last night Gray, it was a nice." I then made a note to text Levy later.

"Happy, come here." The pink haired guy says while playfully tugging on the tip of the sleeping cats tail. I'm looking down nervously, as I glance over I see him leaning on one arm, head in his hand.. Looking Right At Me. As if planned, his eyes meet mine as a grin forms and he raises a curious eyebrow.

"Knock it off flame brain! Your making her nervous!" Gray calmly exclaims. "Oi! Shut your damn mouth iceberg!" He retorts as Jellal clears his throat. "Lucy, over look these two. This hot tempered bafoon is Natsu Drag.." Before he can finish, Natsu cuts him off.

"Dragneel, Natsu Dragneel. Nice to meet ya." He says with a toothy grin. I catch Jellal rolling his eyes and Gray shakes his head. "Nice to meet you, I'm.." he hastily cuts me off. "I know who you are, your the resident scientist." He grins. "Uh, yes that's right Mr. Dragneel." I reply but then his grin drops, "It's Natsu." He says with slight demand.

I nod as Mira brings me my order. "So Natsu, I don't remember seeing you at the welcome party." I state, trying to keep the conversation going. "I work in shifts." Natsu replies. While I'm cutting my eggs I hear Jellal start to explain on his behalf "He's a Firefighter. So you won't Catch him around Fairy Hills very often." When I hear the sudden emphasis on the words firefighter and catch, I almost choke. I glance over and Jellal has the same grin from the party when we were introduced. Then I notice Natsu's toothy grin. 'F~uck! It was him!' I yell in my head trying cover my embarrassment while taking a drink of coffee.

I look to my watch and realize it's time to go, with a finished plate I stand up. Placing Happy on my stool. "Well, thanks for the breakfast Mira." I call out to the kitchen loud enough for her to hear. "Bye guys, it was nice meeting you Natsu." I bow as they say bye. "Bye Luigi, nice meeting you." I hear Natsu in the background as the other two guys scold him for not saying my name correctly.
