Chapter Thirty- Five

Tris Pov

"Tris Prior." my name was called up to go on the stage. I wrote the speak for graduation.

I shuffled up into the stage and cleared my throat. I gulped and put the mic near my mouth. All the singing in my life on stage, I'm finally afraid to talk on stage.

"Okay, as all of you guys should know who I am by my songs. I'm not going to waist you time so I'm going to stop walking around the bush and get to the point. We, all of us are young, naive and sometimes just plain stupid, but we have time. Time to mess up, and wake up the next morning and forget about what ever shit we did. So this is our time to make mistake and learn from them.. Because we are not getting younger. We all grow old, making even have kids and grand kids. So stop living to others expectations, and live up to you own. Because I will and I know you will to." Everyone was silent and then erupted with boisterous cheers.

"Four we all know you want to share a speech of your own so come up here." The teacher said.

Toby walks up and asked me to 'stay' so I did.

"Tris is right, so I'm going to do a yolo, because we aren't getting any older." He pulls out a black box and knees down.

"Tris, you should already know what I'm going to tell you because I told you on Valentine's day. That speech was real and that's what I want to do." he opens the box and a diamond princess cut ring lays in the box, I gasp.

"No, no don't worry this is just a promise ring. A promise ring to promise me that when it's the time you will marry me."

All the girls 'awed' and some where even crying.
