The warm water felt so good on my cold body. I relaxed in the tub as Isobel softly shampooed my hair for me. Isobel was quiet a sweet lady and cared for me pretty well. I was growing fond of her. She talked to me about her family and her boyfriend Brian who died last year in a car accident. Brian had proposed to her the week before his death and they were over the top with wedding plans. From the way she told me about him, it was no secret that she hadn't moved on. She told me she had seen Brian take his last breath right in front of her. Oh that must have been such a nightmare.

Why was life so unfair to everybody? Does it get better later? I sincerely hoped Isobel would move on and start over with her life.

She helped me change into a tshirt and shorts after drying my hair for me.

"You know dear, I was so worried how I'd handle you in the beginning. You're brother exaggerated, I guess." She said, chuckling.

I smiled. He didn't exaggerate at all. I had just changed a little. She helped me back on the bed and handed the ipod to me before leaving the room.

I kept the ipod next to me and waited patiently for Nathan to come back. Few minutes later, I started feeling panicky again. Why hasn't he come back? What time is it?

"Nathan?" I called out in concern. But it came out more like a croak. I didn't know why but I had this gut feeling something was wrong.

No answer.

"I really should find another way to contact this guy!" I mumbled to myself.

Suddenly I heard movement in my room and the sound of someone's footsteps going further away.

"Hello? Who is it?" I asked. My hands were shivering and I was scared.

The person moved further away and left the room.  Tears escaped my eyes as I hugged my knees and sat on the bed. Why didn't the person reply?  Nathan, where are you?

The door opened again and I immediately hid underneath the blanket scared.

"Aria." Nathan whispered, coming closer.

"Nathan, where were you? Oh my God, I was so scared! Someone was here before and I didn't know. The person just left the room without telling me who he or she was! Nathan, who was it?" I cried out all in one breath reaching my arms forward trying to touch Nathan.

He took my arms in his and sat next to me. Resting my head on his chest, I continued crying for a little while more.

Nathan didn't speak, instead he kept saying 'It's ok'.

"Where were you?" I asked, wiping away my tears.

"I had gone home. Got you something to eat too."

"Oh."

"What happened?"

"Did you see who left? You came in pretty soon." I said, moving away from him and leaning back to lie down."

He didn't answer me for a few seconds which got me worried. I was going to change the topic when he cleared his throat.

"It was a guy." He said and cleared his throat again. He sounded pretty nervous.

"Do you know him?"

"No." he said.

I nodded in acknowledgment and told him I was hungry. He immediately rushed somewhere and I heard the shuffling noises before he finally came back to me. He fed me the soup he had bought for me without a word. We both remained silent even after I had had my dinner. The atmosphere was disturbing . It was like we were growing distant and there were so many obstacles between us. I didn't like the silence and I so badly wanted to end it but I didn't know how. I couldn't find the right words to use then. There was so much going on in my head. Who was the guy who had come and left with speaking a word? Why did Nathan seem so nervous to tell me about him?
