Their lights are blinding. Cameras click as my mother and I step outside the hospital. "[Y/N], follow him to the car." My mom said strictly as she pointed towards one of the suited men that was following us.
I nodded and turned towards him. He cleared a way for us to pass through as I followed him. Reporters attempted to speak with me. "Is your mother illegally selling vaccines?" A tall woman had said. "What will you do when you become the CEO?" A short man asked.
Many of them were the same questions, but that didn't matter to me. I saw them all the same. Every snot nosed reporter who asked me a question got the same reply- a cold, hard glare from my [E/C] eyes.
When we finally got to the car, I spotted my mom from the crowds. She answered the questions that were actually good. Then, she finished with a speech. She was lead to our car and was seated next to me.
We were driven off almost immediately. "Mother, how can you tolerate all those questions?" I asked out of curiosity as I glanced over at her. She sighed and smirked, "I can't. That's why we're moving, remember?" I nodded in response.
Right, we were moving to a small town in Colorado. I hope it is quiet unlike this damned city. I'm not worried about friends, though. I don't have that many, and most of my friendships were built off of my position within the company my mother's family owns.
At least I don't have to worry about relationships with others here. When I move into Colorado, I will be a new person. I don't have to act like the prestigious kid I am expected to be. I can be free from the title I was born to fulfill.
