[Craig's P.O.V.]
She's lying to me, isn't she? I thought she loved me the same way I loved her.... She doesn't though, does she?
Tears welled up into my eyes. I couldn't be seen like this, so I ran to the exit. Maybe the goths would see me, but they don't even care anyways.
I slammed open the door to the outside. There I saw [N/N] looking back at me. She stood there, frozen. She's probably judging me, just like any other person would.
"Craig...?"
I looked up at the person who had said my name. [N/N] was covering her mouth. Did [N/N], the person who's never spoken, just speak to me?
"So... you are a girl." I mumbled, noting her feminine tone despite my confusion. Her hands dropped down. Shock, confusion, and fear crossed her face before it was flooded out by a sudden calmness.
"We'll talk about that later. Are you okay? You kinda have a little something going on up there." She tilted her head and made tear streaks with her finger against her cheek.
I shook my head and snorted. "It's just average teenage drama. Y'know, love, fights, etc..."
"Well, I don't know much about it, but it sounds like teenage drama sucks." She said as she walked closer. She reached out to touch my shoulder, but I moved away.
Her arm dropped, and she simply nodded. "I didn't take you to be a crier when it comes to drama." She mumbled and turned around.
"Where are you going?" I asked, looking to the ground and back at her. "Somewhere. Do you wanna come?" She looked back to me.
"I didn't take you to be one to skip." I mumbled. She shrugged. "My next class is pretty useless, so I might as well. It's not like I'll learn anything, right?" She chuckled.
I guess the whole thing during 2nd period really was a great first impression. I shrugged, "I guess so." She appeared to be happy and waved for me to follow her.
She walked past the goths while they bickered about something. She hopped over the fence the school board had decided to put around the school. I hopped after her. She stood with her hands in her pockets.
She turned back around and continued onward. "Your sadness reminds me of someone I know. By any chance, did someone you love betray you?" She spoke smoothly, her head tilting backwards towards me.
"Yeah... I'm surprised you would know that." I looked at the ground. My eyes followed our feet as we walked.
"You'd be surprised about a lot of things." She snickered. I pulled out my middle finger without her noticing.
I didn't realize that we had been walking for awhile until she stopped in front of a grey house. She looked back at me.
"This is my place, do you wanna come inside?" She pointed towards it. I nodded my head as she turned back. She began to walk up the walk-way.
"We've barely known each other for a day, and you're already showing me your house. You're pretty gutsy." I remarked. She shrugged.
"I'm guessing here, everyone knows everyone, so you would've figured out anyway." She replied. She is right....
We entered the house. "Mom, I'm back with a friend!" She called out. I suddenly heard footsteps banging against the hardwood steps of stairs.
A woman with short, purple hair came from upstairs. "Shouldn't you be at school, sweetie?!" The woman shouted. I guess that's [N/N]'s mom.
The woman looked at me then to her. "What are you doing bringing boys home already? You know I don't allow that!" She questioned [N/N].
[N/N] put her hands up in defense. "Mom, I only brought him here for some questioning." She kept her cool as if she had done this before.
Her mom let out an annoyed groan and went back upstairs. [N/N] turned back to me. "Just go sit on the couch. I'll be right back." She began to run upstairs.
I turned towards the couch and took a seat. I looked around the room. There were boxes piled high. I guess they still need to settle in.
[N/N] came back in a regular t-shirt and leggings, her mask still on. "So, you know I'm a girl?" She asked. I nodded. She took a seat beside me.
"How?" She tilted her head. I reached in my bag and pulled out her journal. "Where did you get that?!" She snatched her journal from my hands.
I chuckled as she glared at me suspiciously. She looked back down at her journal as she flipped through the pages. "Well... at least it's still in good condition." She mumbled.
She set the journal beside her on the couch and looked back at me. "Why were you crying?" I froze at her question. She still seemed calm.
I looked away from her for a moment and mumbled out my answer. "She used me." I held back tears. Jesus, I can't even say her name.
"She...? Did your girlfriend use you...?" [N/N] asked. She's good at this. I simply nodded as I heard her click her tongue in response.
"Don't stay with her then. It may hurt at first, but you can't stay in a toxic relationship. It would only go down hill." She's acting as if she had gone through something like this.
She pointed at my phone, which I forgot I had out. "You probably don't want to tell her in person, so it would be better if you texted her." She's very observant.
I nodded. "Do you mind if I get some privacy?" She shook her head. "Not at all, take your time." She stood up and went up stairs.
I took in a deep breath. Red used me for herself. If she had her way with me, would she have left me? Well, I'm not going to let her!
I picked up my phone and dialed her number. I heard a few rings, silence, then another few rings. Finally, she picked up.
"H-hello?" She sounded rushed.
"What are you doing?" I began to interrogate her.
"Um, n-nothing sweetheart!" She lied.
This is my chance.
"Well, that's good because I need to talk to you. I'm leaving you." I felt my heart race faster than light. Was she going to scream, or was she going to cry?
"Sorry, babe, I think I misheard you. Can you please repeat what you just said?" I could tell she was in disbelief.
"I'm leaving you." I chuckled over the phone and hung up. I can't believe I dumped Red. She's the girl everyone thought was cute but overlooked.
Everyone thought she was the perfect girl. She seemed sweet, beautiful, and talented. Yeah, she is beautiful, but the only talent she had was acting.
I just dumped Red. Red is the dream girl from hell, and I just dumped her.
Holy shit.
