"Entry 3: Friends and a Party"

"After Craig had broken up with his girlfriend, he asked if he could leave. We sent him home with three bars of chocolate. We said it was for comfort reasons.

The next day at school I didn't see him anywhere. I was worried sick because he knows my gender now, what if he goes around telling everyone?!

I did meet some knew people that day though. Their names were Bebe, Wendy, and Red. Red was strange to me. She looked lost, almost like a puppy with no owner.

Bebe and Wendy told me that they were going to be hosting a costume party when Bebe's parents go out of town for a trip.

I had a one-sided conversation with Clyde too. He told me how he was the top star of the football team in our school. It wasn't all that interesting.

I learned basic stuff in class. All we really did was pass notes to each other throughout class though.

Red talked to me more though. She always asks me what my gender is, and when I go to the bathroom if she can come with me.

There's something really off with her. I believe she's a chronic liar. Her body movements are always so stiff, and she can't seem to speak straight.

Clyde told me that she was a sweet girl, but she still hasn't earned my trust. She's hiding herself from the world. I can never trust someone so secretive.

The week was pretty boring. I hadn't seen Craig since his break-up. I'm worried that he isn't okay, mentally.

He's a strong kid on the outside, but I'm not sure if he's emotionally stable. That girl seemed to mean a lot to him. I wonder what she must have done to make him see her true nature?

Will he be at the costume party Bebe and Wendy are hosting? If so, what would he be..?

Wait.

Why am I thinking about Craig so much?!

I should probably be thinking about what I am going to wear. I can't show my face, so what what would it be?

I should probably ask Mom..."

I close my journal and get out of my desk. I put on some sandals before going downstairs. I've been writing for awhile now, so I decided to grab a drink and a light snack.

I began to rummage through the cabinets before I heard my mom's voice boom behind me. "I thought you were a rat! What are you doing up at 12 A.M.?!"

I almost screamed, but I played it off cool. "I was doing homework, so I decided to get some brain food." I lied.

"[Y/N], sweetie, I'm your mom. I can tell when you lie."She crossed her arms over her chest. Moms can be really scary sometimes.

"Fine, I'll go to bed." I groaned. I grabbed a cup of water and went back upstairs. I crawled under the blankets of my bed and chugged down my water.

My eyes slowly drifted shut. My breathing slowed. I finally fell asleep.

The next morning I got ready for the day. It was a Sunday, but I still needed to find a costume for the party.

I ran to the store when I was fully dressed. I began to rummage around the costume section. I found a black nurse dress. It ran barely past my knee. It looked pretty good if I say so myself.

I found some vampire fangs, fake blood, and a fake syringe. I went to cash register and paid for my items.

I ran down the side walk with my bags. I didn't want anyone from school to see me. Just my luck, I spotted Craig walking towards me.

He stopped right in front of me. I pretended to not notice. I tried to walk past him, but he grabbed my wrist to stop me.

"It's not safe for a girl to be walking around by herself." He remarked. I shrugged. "I can take care of myself." I replied.

"Well, too bad. I'm walking you back home." He stated blankly. "I'm going to go grab a cup of coffee though." I reasoned.

"We'll get you coffee, then you're going home." He replied. I scoffed and shook my head. "You're not the boss of me. I can do whatever I want." I crossed my arms over my chest.

He shook his head and began to walk off. "Hey, where are you going?!" I began to run after him. I huffed, trying to stay close.

"You know you're going against your word, right?" He glanced back at me. "N-No I'm not! I'm choosing to do this!"

He shrugged and continued to walk. We finally made it to the coffee shop and Tweek was at the counter. I was surprised, and he seemed to be too.

"O-oh, hey- ACK- [N/N]. I-I didn't e-expect you- GAH- to be h-here." It was hard to understand him through all the stutters, but I got the picture and waved. Craig merely flipped him off.

I wrote down what I wanted and showed it to Tweek. He smiled and nodded then looked over to Craig. "Black." Was all he said, but Tweek seemed to understand what he meant.

Craig went to go sit down and I followed him. Tweek came back with with our drinks and placed them down. "I-I'll be right- ERK- b-back with you-your bill."

The blend of aromas with Craig and I's coffee was calming yet energizing at the same time. I reached to my face to pull down my mask, but Craig stopped me. "Use a straw."

I realized how careless I had been and put my hand down. Craig got out of his seat to get me a straw and handed me it. "Thanks." I whispered.

We finished our drinks in silence. I offered to pay for both of them, but he ended up paying in the end. During the walk home he was still silent. He was surprisingly calm.

We stopped in front of my house and as he was about to walk off, I grabbed his wrist. I took a glance from side to side before speaking.

"Are you okay?"
