The night of the party I got ready. I let my hair loose, put on makeup to the point I wouldn't be recognized, and got dressed. I snuck out after my mom immediately passed out, since she'd be in a deep sleep.
When I got out, I started running to Bebe's address. I saw a man dressed as a priest, but ignored him. I sped past the man and eventually reached Bebe's house.
I stepped in to see Red glaring at me. "Who are you?" She looked me up and down, with that look. "Oh, uh, I'm just from another school, a friend to Bebe."I spoke.
Some bumped into me from behind and I turned around to see Craig, dressed as a priest. I turned back to Red, she looked at Craig with pity in her eyes, a completely different look she gave me.
"Let's go." Craig grabbed me by my wrist and started to take me into the crowds of people. I turned back to glance at Red.
Her eyes were full of hate, jealousy, it practically said, "I want to beat that bitch."
I was scared, but as soon as her negative emotions appeared, she disappeared into the crowd. I looked back at Craig.
He had taken me to a corner, a quiet one at that. "I know who you are, [N/N]." My eyes widened.
"How could you tell?!" He shrugged. I realized that he recognized my voice. I nodded and walked off. He didn't stop me.
Later during the party I was standing by the totally not spiked punch bowl. I was drinking out of my cup when two men walked up to me. One was dressed as Jake Paul, the other as Keemstar.
"Hey hot stuff, would you like to be my Erika Costell?" I scooted away from him. "Drama Alert! Hot girl by the punch bowl is looking a little bit lonely."
My face was heated out of embarrassment and anger. I pushed on away when they began to corner me against the table. Suddenly, I heard a cry of pain from one of the men.
I looked at who caused such a sound and saw Craig, physically fighting with them. I grabbed him by the hand and pulled him away from the fight. I started to run upstairs until we were in front of a room.
"You didn't need to do that. Your wounds are still healing. Don't damage yourself for someone you barely know." I scolded him. Then I finally got a good look at him.
He looked tired with his face all red. He was drunk.
He pulled me into a hug that seemed to last forever. I was in such a state of shock that I was paralyzed. I was vulnerable.
He pulled away for a second, then wrapping his hand around my waist, he lifted up my chin with his free hand. His smile was seductive, yet sweet in a way. His lips parted for him to speak.
"You can call me Father."
Craigs lips crashed onto mine. I couldn't move. I couldn't push him away or tell him to stop. He was just a friend, right?
He pushed me into the room we had stood in front of. He closed the door and locked it before pinning me to the bed. Once more, he forced his lips onto mine. This time, he used tongue.
With the sudden entrance, I was snapped out of my daze. I pushed him off me with all my might. He fell to the floor. I got up and looked at him. He was crying.
"N-no one will love me... Not eve-even you!" The tears ran down his face, his eyes red and puffy. I helped him up onto the bed.
"Is this about her?" I asked. He nodded. "I r-really though' she was the one. I'm so fuckin' dumb to f-fall for Red!" He shouted.
I pulled him into a tight hug. He dated Red. Now I know why she had given me those looks. She was jealous. But that doesn't matter now. My... friend... is in pain.
He cried into my shoulder. "No one, no one.. no one... no o-" He fell asleep. I lied down on the bed while I sat on the edge.
I can't leave him here, but I can't take him home, can I? I don't want Bebe to get in trouble for having him there. I'll sneak him home and let him stay that night.
I smacked his face to wake him up. His eyes shot open almost immediately. "Come on you big baby. You need to sleep somewhere else." He groaned and got up.
I supported him and we walked down stairs. Less people were by the entrance, so we should've been able to slip by quickly. Red stopped us dead in our tracks as I was reaching for the door knob.
"What do you think you're doing with him? Are you taking him home for yourself, you whore?" Red, supposedly one of the nicest girls in school, had just called me a whore for no good reason.
I placed Craig down on the couch before I slapped her. "You have no idea what the hell you're talking about." She pretended to be genuinely hurt, dropped to the floor, and cried.
I picked up Craig and walked outside. He flipped the bird to whoever happened to look in his direction as we walked to my house.
"I-I remember walkin' down her-here.." He muttered. "I-I wass lil' buzzed that nigh' too." I remembered seeing a guy walking my first night here.
"I think I saw you. You could say that everything come to a full circle, huh?" He nodded. We reached my house.
I pulled my key from a pocket and unlocked the gate to the backyard. I got back there, locked it, and set Craig against the wall. I digged around in the shed to pull out the ladder.
I got our ladder, set it up, and climbed up to unlock my bedroom window. I climbed back down. "Craig, do you think you can climb up a ladder?"
"Y-yeah- duh!" He started to walk as if he was sober, kinda, and climbed up the ladder almost perfectly, aside from a couple slip ups. I put the ladder away and went through the back door.
I closed it quietly and tip toed my way to my room. Then the kitchen light turned on. "[Y/N], you had me so worried, where were you?!" It was my mom.
"Mom, I'm so sorry, I just wanted to live my youth by going to a party while also hiding my identity, see?" I let her get a good look at all the makeup I had put on.
She smiled and nodded. "I'm glad your trying be a normal teen for once, but hurry up and go to bed. I love you."
I hugged her and ran up stairs. I washed off my makeup and dressed into an oversized shirt and short- shorts. When I went back to my room Craig looked sick, as if he was going to throw up, which he did, right outside the window.
I ran to his side and helped him as much as I could. "Let me go get you some water." I whispered. I ran downstairs quietly and filled up a glass before going back to my room.
I handed him the glass and he chugged it down. "Thanks." He sounded tired. "You need to sleep, we can share the bed."
Craig climbed up the bed onto one side and I was on the other. "Night, Craig." And with that, we fell asleep.
