the next day

it's saturday, taehyung and his friends decided to play basketball at the xxx court.

this day is unusual for taehyung because his friends can't stop teasing taehyung about the incident last time.

"yo, you see how taehyung shouted to ryujin?" yoongi, one of his friends, asked jungkook.

"yup and look how furious he was!" jungkook try to copy taehyung's face.

taehyung just rolled his eyes.

"i can't believe you would stand up for that girl, dude!" his other friend, namjoon, patted his right shoulder.

"i was just-"

"trying to be nice." all of his friends said together.

"pft, i know you're nice taehyung but i didn't know you would go THAT far," said yoongi.

"yeah, says someone who always tries to get dahy—"

yoongi covered taehyung's mouth.

"THAT'S ENOUGH DON'T CONTINUE!"

"wait yoongs, you have a crush?" asked jungkook confused.

"no i do-"

"yes he doesss!" taehyung said while laughing.

"come here you little-"

yoongi chased taehyung around the court and taehyung's trying to escape.

suddenly, a girl wearing a denim overall with a white shirt inside and white converse, walked passed the court while bringing thick books and a water bottle.

"kook, isn't that her?" asked namjoon.

"who? where?"

namjoon pointed at the girl and she dropped her water bottle and it rolled over to namjoon's feet. namjoon quickly gave back the water bottle to her . she bowed and left.

"kook, it's her."

"who? yoongi's crush?"

"no."

"then who?"

"you stupid, it's kim jennie."

"yes i know i couldn't even answer two times fiv— wait WHO?"

namjoon quickly hit jungkook's back.

"yah! it's kim jennie! you-"

"kim jennie??" taehyung and yoongi appeared out of nowhere.

"were you guys talking about her?"

"what? no—"

"yes" jungkook said straightforwardly.

namjoon looked at him, his mouth was forming an O shape.

"why?"

"she passed the court, tae."

"why didn't you tell me?"

"why do you want to know that she's here anyway?" yoongi asked.

taehyung went silent. he didn't know what to answer. yoongi's right. why does he wanna know? why does he care about it?

"uuuu taehyung has a crushhh~" jungkook teased taehyung.

"stop it kook"

"but jennie looks - different." namjoon said and made everyone looked at him.

"she wasn't wearing glasses, she was wearing something fashionable, well that's probably because we always wear uniform and i think she was wearing light make up. oh and her hair was reaaally straight, probably she straightened it."

everyone was silent because no one of them would expect jennie would dress like that, or was namjoon probably mistaken?

"nah joon, i don't think that describes jennie," said jungkook.

"hey, just because she's a quiet person at school doesn't mean she can't dress properly outside of school, you know? who you meet on weekdays can change at the weekends," namjoon spoke with a serious tone.

"oh wow." taehyung said in awe.

taehyung's pov

i can't imagine how would jennie look like outside of school. to be honest, when i first met jennie, she wasn't bad at all. she's actually prettier than ryujin. she has that milky skin and a baby face.

i shouldn't have ran away from yoongi so i could see her. damn it.
