Do you like exploring? Fawn asked finally. Kiba's eyes got wide.

Yes, I love exploring! Kiba cried out, wagging his tail. Fawn grinned.

Alright! Let me show you this amazing place I found, not far from the pack... Fawn said, turning left. Kiba followed anxious to see what lies ahead.

Not far from the meadows is an abandoned forest, where Kiba and Fawn have never seen any wolves go in before. The trees were a tall oak, and the grass is a few shades darker of a green.

Are you sure about this? Kiba asks, stopping before the entrance.

Positive. My older sister took me in here but a few days ago, Fawn reassured. Kiba gulped, but nodded.

Let's go then. Fawn started off in the forest, and Kiba was not far behind her.

They were walkng slowly on the soil, looking and admiring all the woods around them.

This place is beautiful, Kiba admitted.

It sure is. And it get's better. Fawn turned around and smiled at him.

Better? How? Kiba asked, all his worries leaving him.

You'll see, Fawn replied, giggling, turned back to face the front. Kiba frowned, not liking surprises or secrets.

Minutes passed. Kiba was beginning to feel this place wasn't as exciting as he'd hoped, until Fawn stopped randomly.

Why did you stop? Kiba asked, a tad worried.

Go in front of me and go in front of this bush. Fawn instructed happily.

But this bush is huge! Why would I? Kiba asked, slowly going in front of Fawn.

Just do it! Fawn pushed. Kiba sighed but pushed back the bush, and gasped at what he saw.

It was a beautiful waterfall not too far away, which created a lake and river.

Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go swimming! Fawn yipped, jumping into the lake. Kiba smiled and followed her.

Not an hour passed and Kiba already knew he would come back to this place.

They continued swimming and jumping into the cool water, and finally, it was noon when the pups began to grow hungry.

Let's go find some food, Kiba suggested. Fawn nodded and they got out of the lake, shaking their soft coats dry.

They followed a path that lead to a small clearing, and a small deer was grazing contently in the warm sunshine.

Kiba and Fawn were about to attack when they heard low growls coming up from behind them.

What.... Is that...? Fawn asked, shaking, not wanting to turn around.

Kiba shook his head, too terrified to answer. Finally, Fawn looked over and saw a huge, male wolf staring down at them.

They screamed, terrified, until the giant wolf growled, and spoke.

What are you pups doing in my forest?
