What are you pups doing in my forest? The large male snarled. Kiba and fang tembled and simply took a few steps back, fear in their young eyes.
I asked you both a question! One of you should answer! He barked. Kiba knew he was the one who would have to answer, Fawn was shy already, and intimidation would only make things worse...
We... We w-were just exploring... We're sorry.. Kiba stammered, scared out of his mind. Fawn nodded in agreement, and they both gulped.
Exploring? Why would you do that? The huge wolf spat. Get kicked out of your pack already? The wolf seemed to amuse himself.
No! Of course not. We were just curious.. Kiba replied, slightly defensive.
Hm, I'll give you credit for making it this far without me noticing you, The male stood up taller, his black eyes staring into the pups' souls. But guess what? The wolf asked them.
W-what? Fawn replied cautiously.
Run. The male whispered. Before Kiba and Fawn knew what was happening, the male was chasing them.
They were panting, running faster than they have before in their lifetime.
At one paint, Fawn tripped over a rock. Not knowing this, Kiba continued running.
Kiba! Help!! Fawn squealed, struggling to get up. The rock was on her tail.
The male jumped into the air and was about to land on Fawn, right before Kiba shoved the rock off Fawn's tail.
T-thanks, Fawn mumbled, and they continued running.
Soon enough, the forest started to come to an end, and the pups were beginning to get tired. Their run was lagging behind, barely enough to stay away from the large male wolf.
Almost there! Kiba said to to Fawn, who nodded.
They ran out; the pack not far away. The male was not happy about their escape.
You pups will regret coming into my forest! The male yelled, not leaving the woods.
They trotted up to the pack, who were relaxing in the meadow or off hunting on the Grounds.
Kiba's mom was the first to notice their return. Kiba!! Where on earth have you been?! It's been hours and I've been worried sick!
Mom, we're perfectly fine. Kiba lied, looking at Fawn, whom was still panting crazily.
Where have you two been, then? Last thing I knew, you were in the fields, and when you weren't there, Fawn's parents, Toshe and I were searching!
Kiba sighed. He knew he had to come clean. Mother, I have to be honest. Fawn and I were out exploring the forest out west. We were chased by a huge wolf. We're sorry, Kiba admitted.
Yeah, I just wanted to show him a waterfall. I didn't know another wolf had claimed that land. Fawn added in.
Kiba's Motherwolf sighed. I think it's about time you two learn why wolves from other packs aren't allowed to go in there....
