Manik's Pov

I smiled at my little family thrusting my both hands in my pocket, it was the reunion after one long week. We almost balanced the communication in calls. We missed her so much, it was getting hard without her in our lives. I sighed in relief.

Dad patted my arms to get my attention.

I'm gonna leave now, it's getting late for me to pick your mom. I nodded my head.

Wait up for lunch. I said to him formally though I didn't want any disturbance from anyone between us.

No, I kinda miss your mom, now. I could see the truth in his eyes.

Fine.

How about you come tomorrow night to home? We'll catch up like old times over a drink and food. I surprised with his invite. I gleam in happiness.

Why not? I'll tag kids along with me. We'll have a nice dinner. I was excited about this. I wanted to cherish my relationship with them, which I lost years back.

Wow! You invited him but not me, dad. Nandini said with fake anger.

Tumbhi ajjo. I don't mind. But this is especially for our old time. Dad side hugged me I grinned at Nandini. And she knows what it means to me.

No, I'm not coming you people enjoy. She pushed the topic away. I know the reason very well. Nandini wanted to give her full attention to Kirloskar's has she already stayed with Murthy's one month back. Dad didn't push further, he understood the gravity of the situation, she was dealing. And he knows she needs her space and we respect it.

Wow! We gonna go Nana Nani home. I'm super excited. Nanu, I'll send my food list by tomorrow Morning. I and Nandini gaped at excited Abhay. While dad pinched his cheeks, giving approval for his wishes. When did my son become so demanding about his wishes? I wonder.

Me too. Me too. Avni shouted crazily. We laughed at them.

Tomorrow dinner at 8. He announced before leaving.

I'm so excited. I clapped happily looking at Jaanu, forgetting my another in-law was sitting with us. I bit my lip, I don't remember he was still here.

We can see that, Avni said to me teasingly. I picked her up from Nandini.

Uncle, come let's go have lunch. I was polite. He nodded his head in approval. I was about to pick my landline to make a call in my penthouse to prepare for lunch.

Lunch is ready actually. Nandini answered me.

I had planned it before coming here. It was a surprise for you three. Tho chale. She ushers her father to our penthouse, in my office building, which is the last floor.

Yeah. You people push ahead. I'll be joining in a minute. They nodded their head, while Abhay threw a deadly glare at Ms. Mathur, who was still witnessing the show in between us.

I'm so sorry, sir. I really didn't know he was your son. She pleaded me with guilt and fear.

I don't want to go till there. But I really want you to be sorry for raising your voice before me. Don't you know basic manners? Don't you know, how a personal secretary should be, He/she should be polite and well mannered in front of clients or whoever it be. No one has any right to talk rudely in my office. Everyone is given respect. He maybe sweeper or Ceo himself. Everyone will be treated equally in my office. And I don't tolerate such rudeness in my office, Ms. Mathur. I hope I'm very much clear for you. And like my son said, you are fired. For your indecent behavior and loyalty. I put the end for my speech. She stood stunned but recovered sooner.
