Writer's Pov

Siri. Nandini turned to Sanskar who looked a little worried as she removed her sandals and kept it aside in relief. Home Sweet Home.

Something wrong? She saw how he turned anxious.

It's an emergency. I have to leave now. He was hesitant to leave her alone, he wanted to be there for her at this moment when everyone is in the new mansion to make it big for Abhay and Avni when she herself forbid to go there, for the sake of for children.

It's okay. You go, I'll rest some time. You know I should be glowing by evening. Nandini made it easy for him. However, she didn't want him to leave her alone, the past always scared to be left alone, when she was planning to take pregnancy tests. It was like history repeating to her. Though she knows, she is safe from all the venom of the world in her parent's home. Yet, she couldn't get over the fear of 'what if'. Then again, she knew Sanskar wouldn't leave her if not an emergency. She can't ask him to do that, she was going to be a doctor and aware of the responsibility which came along with it. Convincing herself, she made up for him, to make it easy for them.

Are you sure? He was unsure, he promised Manik to look after her. Then he can't back out of his responsibility being doctor, it was a matter of someone's life. He can't play with it.

Damn sure, you know I can have this mansion all myself. Nandini winked at mischievously, which Sanskar brought it.

Yes, you can. Take care. I'm leaving the guards behind. With that, he left Nandini alone, in one of the biggest mansion of Mumbai, Kirloskar. Nandini sweated seeing the huge place, the place wasn't haunting her but the silence frightened her. She hated to be left alone, the thing no one in the world knows it, she always found ways to be with someone. The past had not only left a scar on Manik but on her too. A deep one, inevitable too.

With the trembling legs, Nandini made a way to her room, in determination, she will cope-up.

The huge room welcomed her like the past. It was déjà vu moment for her, she gulped her fear as she closed the door behind. It was after a long time, she was experiencing this fear, yet it had the same impact, it was like that fear never went out of her system, it's just it couldn't show up because she always been around her children, who occupied her like no one if not Manik's memories. It all started when she left Mumbai, mostly in the pregnancy phase, where she was Lonely. Her anxiousness increased with each passing day, her pregnancy hormones just increased her feelings, it left bitterness in her. It's her who knows how she survived those ghostly feelings, she always made up an excuse to be in the office or David or even think best moments with Manik, she wanted to be occupied, Manik's memories did wonder in her. Nothing in the world could scare her,  she was in a depression yet survived torment with Manik in heart & mind and babies in her womb. The fear slowly took the backseat, when she had kids in her hands. So, far she made it without that fear was because of them. They never left her alone. And there was no looking back.
