Once they arrived at Chanyeol's coffee shop, Chanyeol guided Baekhyun to the stools at the counter and patted one of the stools, signalling Baekhyun to sit down. Baekhyun sat at the stool and rested his arms on the counter in front of Chanyeol, who was removing his jacket and swapping it for a tan coloured apron. Baekhyun's mouth was slightly agape as he watched Chanyeol's muscular arms trying to tie a knot at the back of his brown. Baekhyun moved around the counter into the cashier's side and pulled Chanyeol's hands away. He quickly tied Chanyeol a neat bow on his mid back and sat back on his stool smiling lightly. A small blush creeping his cheeks due to the warmth he felt from standing close to the muscular male.
"Uh... thanks, Baek." He wasn't sure why but hearing the taller, muscular man call him 'Baek' sent tingles to his stomach and all around his body. "No problem, Chan." Chanyeol turned to face Baekhyun and shot him one of his iconic toothy grins before turning back around and starting the coffee machine. Baekhyun just gazed at the the movements of the beautiful man. Strong arms mixing the coffee and then delicately pouring the cream to create designs on top.
"Who owns this place? I really like it, it's so cosy and, homey." Chanyeol turned around, wiping his hands on a small towel and throwing it over his shoulder. "Me." Baekhyun stared at the giant in awe, not only was he incredibly attractive and kind, he owned his own business. Yeah, it may not be the biggest business but Baekhyun admires young people who are able to create a living doing something they enjoy. "Wow, that's really cool Chan!" The smaller's eyes sparkled as he continued to stare at everything in the small shop.
"Where do you work, Baek?" Chanyeol questioned the smaller, while turning around and placing a hot cup of coffee on the counter. Baekhyun sheepishly smiled, "Actually, I'm currently unemployed, I got fired recently because the place I worked at was over staffed and since I only worked part time, they let me go." Chanyeol nodded in acknowledgement give Baekhyun a sympathetic smile. "It's okay though, I have enough money to last me at least a little bit and I'm on the lookout for a full time job since I recently graduated."
An idea crept into Chanyeol's head and before thinking it through he asked, "What do you think about working here Baek? You already said you like it and I can show you how to work the machines easily, besides, I'm kinda under staffed and could use some help." Baekhyun's eyes widened in surprise. "Are you Chan? It really means a lot to me but I understand if you can't-." Chanyeol cut Baekhyun off by placing a finger on his lips, making Baekhyun's face pinker than the frosting on the cupcakes. "It's perfectly okay Baekkie, I need the help and you need the job besides, I'd love to spend more time with my new friend." Chanyeol winked and Baekhyun felt his heart flutter due to Chanyeol's kind words and the wink.
Chanyeol placed the porcelain coffee cup in front of the short male, along with a small plate of his chocolate chip cookies. He watched as the small male at one of the cookies chewing on it and getting crumbs around the edge of his plump lips. "Baekkie~." The smaller male's head shot up, his chubby cheeks stuffed with cookie. "Wes Channie?." Chanyeol smiled moving closer to Baekhyun. He quickly swiped his fingers around the edge of Baekhyun's mouth, getting rid of the melted chocolate. "You had some chocolate on your face." Chanyeol lightly laughed, his deep voice making the blush on Baekhyun's face darken.
"These cookies are delectable Chanyeol! How do you have time to run this place and cook so well? Teach me your ways~!" The little male continued to munch on the soft, mouth watering cookies. "When you start your job here, I'll teach you every recipe up my sleeve." Baekhyun nodded his head smiling. The shorter quickly finished his cookie and then pulled the coffee closer to him, he stared in awe at the heart design Chanyeol had created on the coffee.
"Wow Chanyeol, this design is so cool!" Chanyeol smiled lightly at Baek and ruffled his soft honey brown hair. "I've been trying to get this design right but I've never actually served it to a customer yet." Baekhyun blushed slightly because he was the first to receive such a romantic design and from someone so kind and good looking.
Baekhyun slowly sipped the coffee, almost moaning at how good it tasted. Chanyeol peered at the boy discreetly, under his long black lashes. Baekhyun's small tongue darted out to lick the little coffee that stayed on those small pouty lips Chanyeol so badly wanted to feel against his own. Wait. That's not what Chanyeol thought, he just thought the boy was kinda cute and he felt bad for him. Yeah... That's all it is, right? (He's not fooling anyone, who doesn't want to kiss Baekhyun?)
Chanyeol continued serving customers as Baekhyun watched the taller masculine male do so. Baekhyun had devoured the food Chanyeol placed in front of him within a few minutes but, he didn't wanna leave yet. There was something calming about the charming taller male serving customers. His deep velvety voice sent tingles up Baekhyun's time every time he heard Chanyeol take a customer's order and calling out for them when it was complete.
When it was nearing 6pm, Chanyeol started cleaning up the table as the shorter boy on the counter continued to watch as he had for the past few hours. As the clock struck six, Chanyeol changed the sign on the door from 'Open' to 'Closed'. He set the last few chairs on the tables before hauling out some cleaning supplies.
Baekhyun felt bad just sitting there and watching Chanyeol clean up, so he grabbed the broom and cleared up the dust on the floors as Chanyeol went into the back pantry to grab some more cleaning essentials. Upon his arrival back into the main area, Chanyeol saw Baekhyun sweeping the cafe's floor humming a melody and twirling around. He quietly grabbed the phone out of his pocket and took a picture of the stunning male in the dim lights.
Chanyeol made his way to Baekhyun and the short male halted once he heard Chanyeol's steps. "You have a really nice voice, Baekkie." Baekhyun blushed at the embarrassment of being caught, and the compliment. "Thanks Channie." Chanyeol smiled at the small shy boy before they both continued to clean the cafe spilling a few 'terrible' jokes. In Chanyeol's opinion, he thought his jokes were rather great, Baekhyun had another opinion to his.
