Chapter 8 - How much...

Taehyung was fixing his hair on the mirror in front of him, feeling slightly nervous. He walks to the front door putting on his coat because the september weather was starting to cool down. He grabs his keys and wallet leaving his apartment. He is meeting Yoongi hyung to eat lunch on a nearby restaurant. Yoongi is off work so they decided to meet and catch up with their lives. They haven't seen each other since last week so they have a lot to talk about. Taehyung has so much to say to the other, about Jin, about his life and about Jungkook...
His mind has been in a fuss since his last talk with Jin. They haven't contacted each other for some days now and Taehyung thinks it's better that way. All the sadness and anger he has inside him is blocking him from trying to fix things between them. He doesn't even know if their relationship has a fixing or if it will ever get back to how it used to be. He will just let his anger vanish and will let the sadness guide him to his hyung.

"Hi Tae. Sit down." Yoongi stood up from the table he was and hugged Taehyung, with a smile on his face. He then motioned for him to sit down.

"Hello hyung." Taehyung hugged him back and then they both sat down with smiles on their faces, feeling happy for seeing each other finally. Yoongi has been so busy with work so it's really great that he got this time off. They ordered their food and then looked at each other.

"How have you been? What happened between you and Jin? He blew up my phone with texts and calls asking for you but like you told me, I said you were busy." Yoongi said with a bored voice tone and looked at the other waiting for answers.

"I already talked to him and it wasn't good, hyung. We had a fight and I ended our friendship." Taehyung said looking down and fidgeting with his fingers.

"What? Why? Tell me everything." Yoongi frowned.

"As you already know, Jin and Jungkook are really close and I found out about it the day we had dinner at that restaurant. So Jin came to my house some days ago to talk to me. He said that I was ignoring him and other stuff. But I had so much anger and sadness inside me that I just couldn't be nice to him so we ended up fighting. How could he hide his friendship with Jungkook from me all these years? In our fight, I told him that I know that Junkook is engaged and that he might be cheating on his fiancée like he did to me. Jin got so angry and said that Jungkook really loves her and that he will be his groomsmen along with Namjoon. He also said that just because I was cheated on doesn't mean Jungkook is doing the same to his fiancée. At that, I told him to leave my house and I said our friendship was over. But before he went out, he said that I never deserved Jungkook and his friendship." Taehyung quickly said looking down at his lap, fidgeting with his fingers ignoring his surroundings. Yoongi sighed and frowned his eyes.

"I predicted this would happen. I talked to Jin about this but he didn't care." Yoongi looked at the other man with a blank face.

"What do you mean by that?" Taehyung frowned and looked up waiting for answers.

"The day you went to Paris, Jungkook appeared on the airport but it was too late for him. He started crying and tried to talk to us but I was ready to beat him up for what he did to you. But Jin stopped me and grabbed my wrist dragging me out of there. We completely ignored Jungkook's request and pleads to talk to us or contact you through us. We never gave him a chance to talk because all I wanted to do was break his bones. I went back to Daegu to visit my family and have a good time there because college was over already. Jin decided to go to Busan with Namjoon and he stayed there for some months. We talked sometimes through phone calls and we kept each other comforted because we missed you. But everything changed months later. I went back to Seoul to search for jobs because I received some job interviews there. Before going to one of the interviews, I stopped in front of a coffee shop to grab something to drink first. When I got out, I looked across the street and I saw Jin, but he was with Namjoon and Jungkook. I saw no problem until he hugged Jungkook and pecked his cheek. Jungkook hugged him back and then all three of them entered a restaurant. I decided to send Jin a message asking him 'how was he?' and 'where was be?' and he only said he was back at Seoul with Namjoon. He didn't text me that much but it started to get less and less till the day he stopped texting me. I sent him texts but he stopped answering them and I didn't know why. I was busy with job interviews and I thought he might be too so the time passed and we lost contact. At that time, I found Hoseok again and since then we have been together. He stayed by my side all these years and comforted me when the pain from being away from you was too much. He helped me and then we started dating. We are inseparable now and we love each other. In fours years, I only saw Jin when you got back to Seoul. It was really awkward to see him and he acting like nothing happened. I only saw him because you went back home. But it's ok, I have you and Hoseok. I'm just mad and sad that Jin was so harsh with you." Yoongi confessed and it made Taehyung's heart heavy. He had no idea that they weren't talking at all. In their videocalls, it seemed that they still had contact with each other so Taehyung saw no problem at all. None of them talked about each other but it seemed right.
