Chapter 17 - "I'm Really Sorry"

Three weeks later...

Well, it's been three weeks since Taehyung and Jungkook finally decided to give each other a chance, to give love another chance. They have been in each other's arms almost all the time everyday. Jungkook always picks up Taehyung when he finishes his work at the university and then they have dinner together. Then they go to Jungkook's penthouse or Taehyung's apartment, and cuddle up on the couch or in the bed as they watch movies. Since Taehyung doesn't work at weekends, they have their little dates on a coffee shop, go to the cinemas, go to the park or anything else they want to do. In other words, their relationship has been pure goals. They are so happy together and they can't wait for the moment they take each other fully.
Jungkook is no longer working in his father's company and always ignores his calls. He started working with Namjoon on his company and they are partners in business. To be honest, he likes to work with his best friend better than on his dad's company. Sometimes his father goes to his house to talk about his marriage with Sun-Hi but he is quick to send him off. He will never marry someone if it's not Taehyung. His heart will always belong to that man.

Jungkook was currently on his job at Namjoon's family company working with a lot of paper work. His eyes are hurting and his throat is dry. He hasn't had lunch yet so he is starving and feeling way more exhausted than ever. He decides to leave the paper work on the side and go to the workers cafeteria on the first floor, so he takes the elevator there. He enters on the cafeteria room and his mouth waters seeing all kinds of delicious food on display for the employees to eat whatever they want. He grabs a tray and then places his favorite dishes on it and carries it to a table on the center. He was so immersed eating or more like devouring his food that he didn't recognize a familiar voice approaching him. He feels a hand on his shoulder and quickly looks over to see who it was. He was expecting it to be his boyfriend surprising him but it ended up being a rather unpleasant surprise from someone he wished he never saw again. He turns around and faces his food again, ignoring the person behind him.

"Hi Jungkook, it's been so long." Jimin said as he sat on the chair next to Jungkook. He had a smile on his face.

"It should have been longer." Jungkook blankly responded not giving a single glance at the other.

"I missed you so much, Jungkook." Jimin said in a small voice fidgeting with his fingers on top of the table.
Jungkook ignored him and kept eating so Jimin started talking again after not receiving an answer.
"I tried to contact you a lot of times and say that I'm sorry but you never wanted to talk to me. I was hurt and angered for a long time but now I'm a better person and I'm here to say that I'm sorry, Jungkook. Can you please accept my apologies? I was wrong and immature and I'm here to redeem myself." Jimin said tearing up a bit and nervously playing with his own fingers. There was a pin drop silence as he waited for some words for Jungkook.

"No."

"No? What?" Jimin questioned.

"I don't accept your apologies, Jimin." Jungkook stood up and grabbed his tray, turning around to the counter.

"Please, I'm not the person I used to be. I'm really sorry." Jimin walked behind him trying to stop him.

"Jimin, I don't want to have any connection with you. You were my best friend at some point in my life but it's all over. I love my life the way it is right now and I don't want any new addition to it. I'm not angered or hurt by what you did years ago anymore. I moved on and I'm happy with Taehyung now. We are together again and I'm really happy. So no...I don't want you in my life." Jungkook thanked the employees for the food and then went away to complete his work.

Jimin stayed behind with a sad face that soon turned into a smirk. A evil mind never changes.
