i sat uptop on the hargreeve households kitchen countertop, holding a bottle of alcohol. five, walking back and forth while making a peanut butter and marshmallow sandwich, quickly explains the situation. he then explains me.

"43 women around the world gave birth on october 1st 1989." he says.

his siblings all groan, and the one with curly hair speaks up. "five, why are you telling us this? we already know this." she says, clearly impatient and starting to get annoyed. he looks up at her, "because, she was on of them." he points at me, as he stares at all of them. they all remain quiet, before the odd one in the black skirt spoke. "hey- wait if shes one of us what the hells her power?"

five bites into his sandwich. "time manipulation." he says between bites. his siblings obviously confused, he hands me a small flower. taking a few swigs from the bottle of alcohol from before, i turn the flower into a small seedling into a dying plant, like when we first met. some of his siblings now getting my abilities, shut up.

i grin, and take more sips from the bottle. "now you see, right- hey didnt i tell you to stop drinking?" he says to me agravated. "hEy dIdNt I tElL yOu tO sToP dRiNkInG?" i retort, a bit tipsy and annoyed. his sibling all watch confused. he sighs and face palms, as he takes a few more bites of his sandwich. "as I was saying, when I disappeared 17 years ago, i really just warped myself into the distant future." he says. "i spent a few months there, before charlene showed up." everybody nodded. "we were there for about 45 years, give or take." he finishes the last bite of his sandwich. now the big, burly one of the group, spoke up. "so.. your saying that the two of you, are 58 years old?" me and five both nod. the whole group all sigh in disbelief. the one with the leather spandex suit looks at five, and gives an annoyed response. "i dont get it."he says. "well, you would if you were smarter." five retorts. the guy in thr spandex suit, was clearly angered and almost jumped out at us. the room feeling tense, me and five both leave to change.

unfortunately, all that was holed up in fives closet were his uniforms, containing school boy shorts and a blazer. i had to make do, so i just changed into what he had. surprisingly, his clothes fit like a glove. i pulled up the stockings and borrowed his sisters old shoes. looking into a mirror, with him just made me more annoyed. are we seriously stuck like this? i wondered. looking like 13 year olds? i rubbed my temple. this made me stressed.

following five downstairs, we head to the kitchen. In there he looks to his siblings, obviously annoyed about something. "an entire square block, forty-two bedrooms nineteen bathroom house, but not one single drop of coffee." he says agravated. "you know dad hated coffee." his sister responds. fives sighed. "im taking the car. and, charlene your coming with me." he says. i walk with him sipping more alcohol from the bottle. "do you even know how to drive?" one of his siblings ask, almost yelling. "i know how to do everything." he retorts back at them. i cant help but laugh at his sassy nature.

                                                                ✸

five pushed open the door at the shop griddys, and held it open for me. we walked in at the same time as an old man, who we saw just came out of a large truck outside. five sat down beside the old man, and i sat down beside five.

we waited for a few minutes, before someone came out with a small notepad. "so, what'll it be?" the lady asked, gingerly. "uh, a chocolate eclair." the man beside us answered. the lady nodded. "and, uh can i get the kids a glass of milk or something?" she asked. five, quite moody that day, responded with a straight face. "the kids want coffee. black." the woman, taken aback in surprise, laughed awkwardly, "cute kids." five gave a forced smile. me still a bit tipsy, bursted into laughter. the woman, went in and for a bit and came back out with the mans eclair and our coffees. the man then left.

five finally satisfied, was about to take a sip of his coffee. but, obviously something had to happen. men burst through the door with guns. we both sighed. i groaned, rubbing my temple. "i didnt know you would come so quick. though i'd have more time, huh." five spoke. the men put us both as gunpoint and spoke to us. "i dont wanna shoot you kid, i dont wanna go home with that conscience, so come with us." he said. five, now started to chuckle. "well, no need to worry. you wont be going home." he retorted.

five, then in a split second warped himself onto a table near me and yelled out to them. "hey assholes!" they all began to shoot their guns. i was now sober, and mostly annoyed. it wouldnt hurt to have one peaceful day right? nope. they just had to do this today. agravated, I then chucked my hot coffee cup at one of them. he groaned in pain, as the hot coffee burnt him, and the shards of glass cut his face. five chuckled at me, before warping to the front of the door, tricking the men with guns. i stopped for a quick moment, and watched five fighting them. needless to say, i never noticed this before but when five fought he was hot. i was distracted by him, but snapped back to reality.

with most of them dead by now, we finished up. one last guy in the ground still alive, five ended him off with snapping his neck. he acted like this was nothing, but that day i started to notice the more little things he did, that i never noticed before.

five adjusted his tie as we walked out, and we headed back.
