the two partners, stopped for a wuick moment, before a large icecream truck came rushing at them. luther turned towards the two of us. "is that.. her?" shrugging, i dont respond. the icecream truck gets closer, and we finally spot the driver and passenger. klaus gives me a wave, from the truck window.

"why the hell is that junkie here?" i yell, angered. I run a hand through my hair, stressed and agitated. charlene places her hand on my shoulder, trying to calm me. it helps, and i flash a smile of thanks to her.

hazel and chacha, yell and start to fire their guns at us. luther pushed us behind him and stretched his arms out. before the bullets could get to him, everything froze. i turned to charlene, wondering if it was her. she shrugged, equally confused as me. i face the front, and the handler begins to walk up to us. she begins to speak.

"i, heard you would like to speak."

she said, giving a, most noticeably fake smile. i remain unphased. "cant you stop the apocalypse from happening?" i ask, trying to remain as calm as possible. she laughs. "whats supposed to happen, cant be changed, five," she says. "the little fantasy, running around in your head, can only stay as what it is. a fantasy." she finishes, her words tinging my heart with despair.

angered, i pull out a little something, i kept in the side of my boy shorts. i cock the gun and hold it at shooting point. before she could speak, she stops briefly. she chuckles. "whats so funny, goddamit! " i say anger bubbling up in my voice. "i am but a small cog in a big, big machine, five." she says. "ill just be replaced." she finished, motioning her hands. i stop, and put down the gun, feeling quite defeated. we stood there for a moment im silence.

"i would like to make a deal, with the two of you." she says, breaking the silence and piquing my interest. i turn to charlene, face asking for her opinion. she nods a nod of approval and i turn back. "continue.." i say, curious but still remaining cautious. try and find out her intent, five.

"we would like you two to come back to the commission."

my face twists up at the words. "you two have become quite the celebrities, back at the home office." she says, grinning. "and the age regression? genius. it threw us completely off your scent!" she says, faking being overjoyed. "well, it wasnt our idea. we simply just got the calculations wrong." i explain.

"and,  five, you wont have to be a temporal assassin, anymore," she spoke. "you can have a job at the office, no more killing or briefcases. you can spend time with your- uh, girlfriend over there." she says, pointing behind me, towards charlene. "shes not my-" i say, but stop, flustered. "well, whatever she is to you, she still worked with us, and might i say, was quite good at her job. we would like her back."

before agreeing, i make a few conditions. "i would like, all my siblings to remain unharmed, the day the apocalypse happens." i say. "all of them?" i nod, trying to make my fake intent clear. she nods. she puts her arm out. before the two of us shake her hand, i quickly readjusted a few things.

taking the two partners guns, i take out the bullets and throw them on opposite sides kf the road. i also throw the fake briefcase the two of them so dearly love and chuck it into the field. almost finished i move aside a bulket, that when unfreezing time would've shot luther, straight in the heart.

finished, the both of us shake the handler's hand, and are phased away.
