Once it reaches morning, I slowly move out of my bed and into the kitchen in a haze, before I stopped short after noticing the unfamiliar surroundings. That's right, I'm staying at the boy's place, in their spare bed, in New York, in America. This realization wakes me up full force, making me wide awake. I still can't believe I'm actually here. After months of planning this with Freddie, I'm actually here and John is taking me on the tour that Freddie promised he would do.
I should be upset about that, a small part of me is upset since he did promise he would take me, but the bigger part of me is actually really excited for this. John is definitely one of the nicest guys in the group. He helped me when Roger kept trying to make a move on me, which I couldn't be more grateful for. I also found out just how adorable of a performer he is when on stage with his unique dance moves as he loses himself in the music. He was also the one who kept me company, telling me about what the band has been up to and what everybody is really like, seeing as Roger went to find a woman to screw and Freddie and Brian buggered off to who knows where. He really sets my heart pounding and my nerves on edge even just thinking about him. I've honestly never met anyone like him before.
Just as I've finished preparing my coffee for myself, Freddie groggily shuffles into the room, sitting down behind the bench. "Good morning sunshine!" I say in an overly cheery voice, making him groan.
"Could you please make me a cup too, darling?" He asks before he drops his head into his arms on the bench, making me laugh. We might have also gotten incredibly drunk last night after the show. I can handle my alcohol, but Freddie has always struggled a little, with the next day, that is.
"Sure, Fred." I hand him his cup of coffee just as John enters the room, smiling and cheery, causing me to smile back at him. "Well, you're definitely cheerier than this one here." I smile as Freddie gives me a death glare.
"Well, I'm going to have to be cheery in order to be a great tour guide, aren't I?" He stands beside me, making himself a cup of tea and his arm brushes against mine with his movements, making me blush.
"So, what have you planned for us today?" I ask, curiously.
"I thought that we could maybe go to two of the biggest tourist attractions of New York. Central Park and Times Square. How does that sound?" He asks hopefully, obviously wanted to get it right.
"That's perfect. I've always wanted to go to those places to see what they're actually like, instead of just seeing them in the films."
"Good, then get dressed, and let's go." He smiles, patting my lower back to get me moving. Warmth puddles in my lower back from his touch, making me want more.
"Bring me back some bagels!" Freddie yells to me as I retreat to my room.
"No, you're not taking me on the tour, you don't deserve bagels."
****************
"So, what do you think of Central Park?" He asks me with a smirk as I look around in amazement.
"Oh my god. It's huge! Why did I think it was smaller than this?" I spin around, looking all around me seeing nothing but beautiful white snow.
"Come with me, there's more here than meets the eye." He takes my hand, causing sparks to shoot up my arm, making my heart race. What is this guy doing to me? He leads me over to where the children are screaming with joy and couples are lovingly within one another's embrace.
"Ice-skating? This place has everything!"
John pulls me to the side after we hired a couple of pairs of skates, and we sit down close together to put them on. Well, I try to anyway. I've never been ice-skating and it shows. John chuckles at my attempt at tying up the skates and he picks up my foot, setting it on his lap so that he is able to tie them up for me.
"I'm guessing you've never skated before?"
"Is it that obvious?"
"Maybe a little." John chuckles again, making me smile. "Here, I'll teach you." He sets my feet down and takes my hand once more, bringing me out onto the ice. We start off slow, so I could get the hang of it and not run into any walls, or worse, fall onto my butt. That would hurt. He guides me, his hands in mine, his eyes on me and I stare right back, ignoring everyone else around me. The next thing I know, I trip and fall into his arms, not gracefully either, but he is able to catch me before either of us falls.
"Are you okay there, Y/N?" He asks, his voice soft.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I say trying to brush off my embarrassment. "I'm sorry." I move slightly away from John, only for him to pull me back and smash his lips against mine in a heated, fireworks worthy kiss.
"Don't be sorry."
**************
After a long but worth while day out, we walk back into the flat, hand in hand with cheesy smiles on our faces.
"I take it the date went well then?" Freddie asks, bringing John and I out of the little bubble we had created.
"Who said it was a date?" John asks suspiciously and I eye Freddie, seeing a smug smirk playing at his lips.
"You set this whole thing up. You planned this, didn't you Fred?"
"You're welcome, darlings." His eyes flicker down towards the hand that isn't holding John's. "Are those my bagels?" He snatches them out of my hand before he winks at us, making his way back into his room.
"Freddie Mercury, you beautiful genius." I whisper to myself and John leans in close to my ear, setting my nerves on edge.
"The day's not over yet. There is other things we could be doing right now."
This is so cliche, it's making me cringe so bad. I'm sorry 😖
