Summary: Klaus admits his feelings for you, you think he's just saying it because he's high. Based on the song Not Warriors by Waterparks

We tore our phones to shreds
We didn't answer nothing
To all friends and family; lost or dead

You and Klaus had decided to go for a walk in the park. You had just found Klaus coming down from a high and you wanted to help him sober up for the night before getting him home, knowing how judgmental his sibling can get about his drug habit. As his best friend you hated it because you knew the drugs were killing Klaus, but in the other hand you understood why he was always getting high, you probably would too if you had his powers.

Before your walk, when you first found Klaus, you took his phone and put it on silent and you did the same to yours. Now it was just the two of you. No one would bother you. With Klaus still having some drugs in his system, no one alive or dead would bother you.

You couldn't get much sleep
I found you just in time
But hey, for what it's worth
I think you saved my life

"What were you doing out at this time of night?" Klaus asked.

He knew as it got closer to midnight, the more likely you were to stay in your home, or head over to wherever Klaus is.

"I had troubles sleeping. I went over to the academy looking for you and Pogo said you went out" you explained

"And sweet Y/n decided to hunt me down" Klaus joked

"Hey, if I didn't who knows what would've happened to you" you joked back

You and Klaus eventually made your way back to the academy. It was late so Klaus insisted that you spent the night there. It wasn't anything new, you staying the night in Klaus's room. You were his best friend and everyone knew that.

It was just like any other night you'd stay over until Klaus said something you never thought he'd ever say, to you or anyone else.

"I love you, Y/n"

"You must be high still. I thought I found you when you were coming down" you said with a slight chuckle

You turned to face your friend and he had a serious look on his face. Something you rarely see.

"I'm not still high. Trust me the drugs are starting to leave my body. What I feel is one hundred percent me" Klaus explained

Your smile fell, you felt bad for laughing. But thinking about it, you realized something.

"I get it if you don't love me that way. We're best friends and I do t want anything to change. Just forget-" Klaus started to ramble, but you cut him off

"I love you too Klaus" you said before kissing him
