Snowball fight- Diego imagine

Summary: you meet Diego's family for the first time and join the family for some wintery games

You were nervous to meet Diego's family. You two hadn't been together long, but you guys fell for each other hard and fast. You both agreed that it was time to meet his family, but that didn't help any with the nerves. Your knee bounced with ever passing second as you two drove to the umbrella academy and about halfway there, Diego tested his hand on your knee, trying to get you to stop jittering.

"They're going to love you" Diego said, knowing what was going through your mind

"Of course they are, I'm amazing" you joked, not even believe the joke

"I'm serious. They might think you're crazy for being with me, but they will love you. I'm sure of it" Diego insisted

You didn't say anything, you just grabbed Diego's hand, the one that rested on your knee, and sat in silence for the rest of the drive.

"Anyone home?" Diego yelled as he guided you into the giant house.

When there was no response, Diego turned towards you and shrugged his shoulders.

"I wonder where they are. They said they'd be here" Diego said guiding you further into the house

"Diego? Is that you?" a woman at the top of a staircase asked

Diego looked over and smiled a smile you've only ever seen when he talked about his mother. She started to walk down the stairs towards the two of us.

"Mom, this is Y/n" Diego said, stepping to the side a bit so she could see you properly

"It's lovely to meet you, Y/n. Diego has told me a lot about you" Diego's mother said with a smile

"It's nice to meet you too ma'am" you responded politely

"The others are out in courtyard. Why don't you two join them while I make lunch?" Diego's mother suggested

"That sounds like a good idea" Diego said before leading me outside to the courtyard

It had recently snowed out and the courtyard was cleared out a bit so people could walk through. A small group of five people stood towards the middle of the courtyard arguing.

"Ah! Diego! You're here, great, and you brought a friend! They're trying to gang up on me!" A scrawny but tall man exclaimed once he noticed us.

"That's Klaus" Diego whispered as we got closer

"Who is this lovely person? Wait! Let me guess, Y/n? Diego does not stop talking about you, pretty sure he's in loooove" Klaus said

"Yes, I'm the girlfriend. You must be Klaus" you laughed

"So, we're trying to have a snowball fight and they're being totally unfair about the teams!" Klaus explained

"It's odd numbers versus even" a young boy said, he must be five.

"Which doesn't seem fair" Allison said, clearly recognizing her from some of her movies

"That's because there's four of you and two of us!" Klaus yelled

"How about we make things a little more fair and I join the evens team?" You suggest

"I love it! Let's do this!" Klaus yelled

About an hour later, the seven of you walk inside, freezing from all of the snow.

"Five that was so not fair" you complained, trying to brush the snow out of your hair

"I only adapted. Didn't Diego tell you about our powers before bringing you here?" Five asked smirking

"No, he didn't. Which is why I threw snow at him too in the end" you explained

You all sat in the living room chatting as their mom brought in a tray of hot chocolate.

"Oh Y/n, this one is for you" Grace said handing you a specific mug "this one has cinnamon in it, just how you like"

"Thank you" you said, taking the mug

Once Grace left, you turned towards Diego

"Wow, you must really talk about me a lot if you mom knows how I like my hot chocolate" you teased him

"A bit, but how can I not about an amazing person like you?" Diego said before kissing your forehead
