deeper into the book

this chapter is for me to tell you more about the book, how it was plotted and about the characters.

epilogue (27) was the last chapter for the story (duh), but there will be this and an author's note after. so feel free to just like disappear.

BOOK: 

as i've mentioned before in two-four-three-eight (25), this book was inspired by the tv show, Brooklyn Nine-Nine. B99 is a detective show and it's kinda like a comedy, it's funny but also talks about serious problems. honestly, this show is amazing because of how the main characters aren't of the same race yet they get along and they're all accepting. it really talks about deep subjects in a way that just makes me contemplate life. 

anyway, that chapter was based off of the episode SHOW ME GOING [S5, EP20]. it's about a shootout and how one of their detectives got stuck in it. i'm not gonna spoil anymore but it was probably my favourite episode in season 5.

i did use some police codes while writing these, but they are american, i think. i'll list the ones i've referred to here:

now, as of writing this, this book has like five reads. it might be because of the topic and type of book but i don't really care, i'm just so obsessed with detective work, i don't know why. i just am.

and i think i am improving in writing angst, i don't know, but it was really hard for me to write like that since i didn't like it but yea, maybe. a girl can dream.

i feel like with all the research i've done for this book, the fbi is probably going to pop by my house and search through my room for weapons. maybe not fbi, homeland security is a more likely group that will search.

oh well.

Y/L/N Y/N:

aka you. 

she is probably my favourite version that i've written so far. she is honestly who i aspire to be. she's independent, sassy, and tough. unlike the other versions, i've made her somewhat real. the other versions [in rare find and choice] kept their feelings to themselves and tried to dig it into a hole while she actually told him first after thinking about it.

like i could never do that, but i know someone who can and has done that. 

*cough cough* the one person i follow *cough cough* hi annie *cough*

now, talking about her backstory, i think people would've guessed in the episode with her aunt and they started speaking in chinese. yes, she is half chinese and half korean. i actually thought about writing that part in chinese (cause the author aka me is chinese but is like dumb and only knows half the language) but then i realised that not many people would understand it and decided against it.

so yea. maybe i'll explore different languages for a few books, comment a few you'd want to hear if you'd like. right now, i'm considering malay (the author is also from malaysia but is again, dumb, so she can speak like a third of the language), spanish, maybe french (my french is bad. like really bad), and maybe german. i don't know.

well, we'll see.

JEON JUNGKOOK:

or jeon jeongguk. i was thinking about whether i should use jungkook or jeongguk but then just decided to use the first as i think it's easier for me to type and idk. i just feel like it.

the maknae and y/n got along at the start since they don't really listen to the olders, because they think that they shouldn't need to if it's a dumb request. i don't know. it's like twelve at night, i'm tired.

i really tried to make him overthink a lot of things for the little arguments with y/n, i'm sorry, but i think it made the plot better. it was a little cliche for them to hate each other first before dating. but i don't really care.

although i think i use the excuse of 'i don't know how to feel because i've never felt' too many times, i should mix it up a little.

well then. next.

MIN YOONGI:

the cousin, min 'yoonie' yoongi. 

honestly, writing a cousin relationship was surprisingly hard to make it seem like just a cousin relationship. last time i wrote a relationship like that was in rare find but he didn't appear until like halfway through the book.

there are some parts which they are a little close, so i might edit that when i reread the book.

i'd like to have yoongi as a cousin or sibling though, i feel like that would be so much fun.

ANTAGONISTS:

pretty much everyone they arrested.

i don't know why i had to add 'their love' so straightforwardly like that but it makes me laugh a little. 

we all know love is hard and all. but i wouldn't know, because i haven't been in a relationship. lucky me :)

BANGTANSONYEONDAN (+ JIWOO) :

i'm just going to say this now, hoseok's sister's original name was dawon, but then i think she legally changed it to jiwoo. i don't know, i read it on an article somewhere and i believed it since her instagram had 'jiwoo' there.

our namjoonie played an important part, by literally yelling at kookie to date y/n. he really is like an older brother for her, i wish i had a friend like that. well, my friend right now is currently my so-called 'wife'. don't ask, it's just something that the seniors at our school does.

we supposedly stay 'wives' until the other gets a boyfriend. thing about my friend and i was that she wanted to 'divorce' her 'ex-wife' because idk why, and i officiated it. then we got 'married' like a month after. at the 'ex-wife's' birthday party. oops. sorry 'ex-wife' who shall remain unnamed. we don't hate you, i promise. we just have a really bad timing with everything.

well then, i kinda got off topic but it's nice to tell a story. anyway, i think that's all. feel free to ask me any questions or just talk to me in general because i feel like i've grown generally closer to the readers.
