Wanda sat on one of the chairs on her Edinburgh apartment patio, rereading one of the books that Vision had given her during one of his visits. She sipped at her tea and listened to the birds as she read her book. Vision had just left to go back to New York with Mr. Stark to continue training and Wanda was still running from the American government.
Wanda was deep into her thoughts as she read her book but was brought out of them when she heard a knock on her apartment door. She set her book and her cup of tea down before walking over to the door and looking through the peephole. She smiled when she saw who it was.
"Vizh, what are you doing here?" Wanda asked the AI as she pulled him into the apartment.
"I thought I would stay a little longer as I was only here for a few days this time." Vision answered.
"What did Stark say?"
"He said it was fine, as long as I come back in a week still alive." Vision followed Wanda as she walked back to her spot outside. She grabbed her stuff and sat down on the couch with her book and her cup of tea. Vision joined her on the couch and watched as the young woman read her book. "Wanda, I was wondering if you were open to going to dinner with me?" Vision asked, causing Wanda to look up curiously.
"Of course. We always go out to eat when you're here." Wanda said putting her book down. She moved closer to Vision.
"I don't mean one of our usual dinners. I want to take you out on what you humans call a date." Vision took Wanda's hands, squeezing them.
"I would love too, Vizh." Wanda kissed his cheek before going back to her book. "When would this date be?"
"Tonight, if possible."
"I'm not doing anything else so I'm available." Wanda curled up to Vision's warm body and kept reading her book. Vision didn't mind Wanda doing so. He knew that it comforted her when she had physical contact with someone she trusts and Vision happened to be the only one she trusted at the moment with her being a fugitive from the United States government.
A few hours later, Wanda was getting ready for her date in the bathroom as Vision was doing the same in the bedroom. Wanda put on a burgundy pencil dress and her leather jacket over it. She put pulled her hair into a bun on the top of her head and put on some light makeup. Wanda opened the bathroom door to see Vision sitting on the bed, reading the newspaper.
He was dressed in some tan slacks and a button up top with one of his many vests. He stood up when he heard the door open.
"Wow, Wanda you look beautiful." Vision said as Wanda put on a pair of boot heels.
"Thank you. It's been a while since I've been out for a nice dinner." Vision followed Wanda as she grabbed her coat and walked out the door. The walked a few blocks to a French restaurant that both of them had been wanting to try.
They were sat at a table that oversaw the Edinburgh city lights. They drank their wine and ate bread until their dinner was to arrive. Vision had to help Wanda pronounce the names of the dishes but they were able to order. The couple talked about life outside of Wanda being a fugitive and Vision having to go back and forth between Edinburgh and New York.
"Vision, this meal was wonderful. Thank you." Wanda said as she wiped her mouth.
"Oh, no problem, Wanda. By the way, I've been wanting to take whatever we had a little further. Whatever is most comfortable for you, my dear." Vision grabbed Wanda's hand. A smile crept on Wanda's face.
"I would love to Vision but what about my situation? How are we going to have a stable relationship when I am on the run from the authorities?" Wanda whispered, making sure that no one else could hear.
"Wanda, all I want is to spend time with you. I will follow you where ever you go and I will love you always." Vision said, kissing Wanda's forehead.
"Are you sure?" Wanda asked the AI. She put her free hand on top of Vision's that was holding her other hand.
"I'm positive, Wanda. I love you and I will do anything to be with you." Vision said, kissing Wanda's fingers. Vision paid the bill and the couple walked back to the apartment. Wanda held on to Vision's arm as they walked.
Once they were back in Wanda's apartment, Wanda went into her bedroom to change into some more comfortable clothes while Vision made them each a cup of tea. Wanda walked into the living room to find Vision on the couch with a cup of tea ready for her.
"Wow, thank you." Wanda took the mug of tea and sat down, cuddling into the AI.
"What would you like to watch?" Vision asked, wrapping his arm around Wanda who turned on a movie from Netflix. The couple watched the movie mindlessly as they drank their teas until Vision broke the silence. "Wanda, may I kiss you?"
Wanda lifted her head off of Vision's chest and looked at him curiously.
"Well, I've never kissed anybody before and I have been told that a kiss can be very important in a relationship." Vision said.
"Of course you may" Wanda chuckled and pulled Vision closer to her. They leaned into each other, catching each other's lips. The kiss was soft and gentle. Wanda pulled away with a smile on her face. "That was perfect."
"I'm glad you enjoyed it." Vision smiled as well. Wanda gave Vision another kiss on the lips before standing up.
"I am quite tired so I am going to go to bed. Want to join me?"
"I will in a few minutes." Vision said standing up as well and taking the mugs to the kitchen. He opened the bedroom door to find Wanda fast asleep in her bed. He smiled and joined the young woman who curled up to his warm body. Because he didn't need to sleep, he made sure that his body was warm and Wanda was comfortable and safe.
The End.
