Surprise After the War

After the last war with Thanos (Endgame), Wanda was exhausted. All she wanted was her boyfriend to come back alive and continue their adventures in Edinburgh. This time with little Lydia. She walked up to her bedroom with Lydia in her arms, asleep. 

She tucked the tired little girl into bed, kissing her forehead. She walked into the bathroom stripping off her dirty clothes before running a warm bath. She sat in the warm water letting her mind wander. Her mind thought of the wonderful times she had with Vision, teaching him the ways of the world and the 2 years they spent hiding from the law. She thought of the times Vision took care of her when she was sick. Vision always out Wanda before himself and even sacrificed his life to help the world. 

A tear ran down her cheek. She wiped it away and smiled at the many good memories she had with Vision. "I wish you were here Vizh. You would live little Lydia. We won the war, love. We won." Wanda whispered making sure not to wake up the little girl in her bed, wiping away the tears that were falling. 

Wanda got out of the bathtub, draining it while she put on some lotion and slipping on a pair of comfy pajamas. After doing so, she climbed into bed pulling Lydia's warm body into her own. 

The next morning, Wanda woke up to Lydia poking at her. "Miss Wanda. It's morning time." 

"Good morning, malen'kiy (little one)." Wanda pulled the covers off of the two of them. "What would you like for breakfast?" Wanda carried Lydia to the kitchen, where Sam, Bucky, and others eating some eggs and bacon that Sam had made. 

"There they are! Want some eggs, sweetie?" Sam said, dressed in a "Kiss the Cook" apron and a Captain America onesie. Wanda laughed at the sight of him, nodding, and put Lydia on one of the bar stools and made them both plates of food. 

A few weeks later, Wanda and Lydia had taken a walk through New York to go grocery shopping. While they were picking out some fruits and veggies, Wanda got a call from Shuri, who was visiting for a special assignment from Wakanda. 

"Hey, Shuri. What's up?"

"Wanda, I need you to come back to the compound. I have a surprise for you." 

"Okay. Let me pay for these groceries and I will be right there." Wanda hung up the phone and finished her shopping. 

When she got back to the compound, she handed the bags of groceries to Sam, telling him to put them away. Shuri gave Lydia a hug and led them to one of the rooms in the science wing. Bruce met them with a large smile. 

"Hey, Wanda. Hi, Lydia." Bruce as the Hulk said, making Lydia hide behind Wanda. 

"Hey, Hulk. What is it that you and Shuri wanted to show me so bad." Wanda picked up the little girl, who put her head on Wanda's shoulder. 

"Well, we've found a way," Shuri said. 

"A way for what?" Wanda asked. 

"To bring Vision back. Since he is an AI, we were able to boost his system back up. This time we won't need an Infinity Stone to give him his powers. He's in here and he remembers everything before he died." Shuri walked Wanda to a door that led to a room where her love was. 

"Can you hold Lydia while I talk to him?" Wanda handed her daughter over to the Wakandan princess. Shuri nodded and let Wanda have her time with Vision. 

Wanda opened the door slowly to reveal Vision laying down in a hospital bed, reading a book. 

"Oh, Wanda. I didn't hear you walk in. It's lovely to see you again." Vision said, putting his book down. Wanda chuckled and ran to her boyfriend, giving him a kiss on the lips for the first time in 5 years. 

"Sorry, I've missed you so much." Wanda put her hands on each side of Vision's face. 

"I've missed you too." Vision pulled her back into a kiss. Wanda smiled into the kiss. "I have to tell you what happened after Thanos killed you." Vision nodded and pulled Wanda into the bed with him. "Um, after Thanos took the Mind Stone from you, he snapped away half of the world's population. I was in that population as well as some of the other Avengers like T'Challa, Bucky, Shuri, and Sam. We were put into a universe that was very weird and it's hard to explain and describe. Anyway, I helped Lydia, that little girl on the other side of the doorway. Her parents died while in the Snap so I adopted her when we came back. You'd love her. She's Sokovian like me. After that, Thanos destroyed the Stones and the Avengers went back in time to save the Stones and bring everyone back. That's what you have missed so far." Wanda kissed his cheek. 

"I am glad you are okay. Also, we never got to talk about us." 

"Well, I thought we were a couple. You know like boyfriend and girlfriend." 

"Okay. Then we are boyfriend and girlfriend." Wanda chuckled at Vision's response and gave him a kiss. 

"Do you want to meet Lydia?" Wanda said getting up from the bed. 

"Absolutely." Wanda nodded and grabbed Lydia from Shuri, carrying her in to meet Vision. 

"Lydia, I want you to meet someone special. This is Vision." Wanda said. 

"Hi, Vision. I'm Lydia. Mama saved me from Thanos and his evilness." Vision smiled and chuckled at the little girl. 

"I've heard. She's great, isn't she?" Vision said. For the next couple of hours, Vision, Lydia, and Wanda sat in the room talking, allowing Wanda's daughter and boyfriend to get to know each other and by the end of the day, become best friends. 

Bruce walked into the room, interrupting the family. "Hey, I just wanted to check up on Vision. Well, Vision, it looks like everything looks just fine, so we can discharge you now." Wanda helped Vision to her room and into bed, kissing his forehead before going to the kitchen to get something to eat with Lydia. 

Once they were done, Wanda brought Vision a cup of his favorite tea and went to the bathroom to give Lydia a bath and put her to bed in the room that was added for Lydia. Wanda changed into some pajamas and joined Vision in their bed. 

"I missed you so much." Wanda cuddled up to Vision and kissed his lips softly. 

"Me too." Vision reciprocated the kiss. "Let's go to bed." Vision pulled Wanda into him and kissed her head as her eyes started to close.
