Weeks had gone by, Cedric and I went out almost every weekend. I say almost because I still dedicated time to Fred and George. Cedric and I have gotten kind of serious, he holds my hand in the hallways, he kisses me in the morning at breakfast and kisses me before I go into my common room. I’ve noticed George acting a bit different around me.

People have begun putting their name in the Goblet of fire. Hermione and I are sitting on a bench in the Great Hall. The lights are dim and the goblet stands on a pedestal, the goblet has blue flames. I see Ron and Harry sitting on benches across from us on the other side of the goblet.

Hermione is researching metamorphmagus abilities and I’ve been helping her. Ever since Cedric said that me being a metamorphmagi was impossible, I’ve been curious to learn more about it. Of course, I go to Hermione for help, she’s always ready to research something.

“Maybe we need to look up history of muggleborns or something.” I suggest.

“It's possible. I never really thought about it, you know? I’ve just accepted that you’re metamorphmagi, I didn’t really care that you were muggleborn.” Hermione says looking at me.

“Cedric says it’s near impossible. He’s really trying to get to know me more.”

“How are you two, by the way?” she smiles at me.

“Really well. Hes so sweet. Takes me to Hogsmeade or sometimes we'll race around on broomsticks.” I laugh.

“He seems like a really great guy.” Hermione says. “Very popular.”

A group of students come into the Great Hall, they’re being rambunctious, and then I notice they’re chanting Cedrics name. I watch as he laughs stepping into the age line with a slip of paper. I stand up and watch as he let’s the paper go into the goblet. Everyone cheers him on and I step off the bench and walk over to him. He smiles and bends down to kiss me, students begin to cheer at us and whistle. And then, chaos begins to start. I hear laughing and yelling coming from the entrance, we look over and Fred and George come running in with two vials in their hands. Harry and Ron come to stand over by Cedric and I.

“Here we go!” Fred says.

“Cooked it up just this morning!” George says.

“It's not going to work.” Hermione teases them.

Fred and George go over and kneel next to
her.

“Oh, yeah? Whys that Granger?” George says.

“You see this?” she points to the silver circular line floating around the goblet. “this is an age line.”

“So?” Fred says.

Hermione scoffs and looks at Fred, “So, Dumbledore possibly couldn’t be fooled by something pathetically dimwitted as an aging potion.”

“But, that’s why its brilliant.” Fred says.

“Because it’s so pathetically dimwitted.” George says. Hermione rolls her eyes as Fred and George stand up.

“Ready, Fred?” George says, shaking up his vial.

“Ready, George.” Fred says shaking up his vial.
“bottoms up!” they say in unison, linking their arms and drinking the potion at the same time.

They jump into the circle and the whole room goes quiet. Nothing happens.

Fred and George smile at each other. They take their slip of paper and look at each other.

“Ready?” they say in unison. They drop the slips of paper into the goblet and anxiety fills my body. Nothing happens.

“Yes!” George yells, he lightly pushes Fred and they high five.
