Chapter 49! The Will of Fire Burns Passionately!

I hum in confusion as I looked up from a small clipboard in my hands as I worked through the hospital the next day. "Why's all the Jonin running around?" I ask curiously to a nurse.

"There's word that the Honorable Grandson locked himself in the Hokage's office," The nurses responded softly.

"Oh, man- I have to go!" I exclaim as I toss the clipboard on the counter. "I'll be back later!" I ran out of the hospital and made it to the Hokage mansion post haste. "Shizune!" I exclaim as I get up to the second level. 

"Come on," Kotetsu whines as he tugs at the door slightly. "We don't want to have to break it down."

"Go ahead and try it!" Konohamaru's voice cries from inside. "See what happens! I'm the grandson of the Third Hokage! If you go against me, you're going against my-- my grandpa! You'll be going against the Hokage!"

"Lady Tsunade has important work to do, and she can't do it until she gets in there." Shizune mentions softly.

Kotetsu and Izumo prepare to break the door down. "Wait!" I exclaim and grasp their arms. "Look up, stupid-" I mention angrily. "He's planted smoke bombs. And since I know Konohamaru, it's probably something mischievous." I mention.

"You got that right! Pepper Smoke Bombs!" Konohamaru bellows as I make Kotetsu boost me up. I pry open the compartment and gently take the bombs out without detonating them. 

"Aren't you guys supposed to be Chunin?" I ask curiously. The two of them flinch and lower their gazes as flushes cover their faces.

"I got this whole place booby trapped, Ren! You'll get a lot worse than pepper smoke bombs if you try comin' in!" Konohamaru exclaims.

"Konohamaru, just come out and we can talk about this- There's no reason to-" I stop short.

"Just shut up and get out of here!" He exclaims.

"Isn't it a little early for all this racket?" I hear Tsunade ask. "It's giving me a screaming headache."

"Lady Tsunade," Shizune hummed as Tonton immediately leapt from her arms to go up to Tsunade. The pig leapt up into her arms with distressed oinks.

Tsunade hummed in confusion. "You three can't handle one little kid?" Tsunade asked.

"Whoa, hold on-" I mention. "These two nearly fell for an academy prank." I explain.

"Wait a second-" Kotetsu stops me as he pinched my cheek roughly.

"Just get him out of there!" Tsunade snaps.

"But ma'am, he's  the grandson of the Third Hokage." Izumo explained sheepishly.

"What do I care? I'm the granddaughter of the First Hokage! I'm the one who need to worry about now!" Tsunade snaps at the two. "From what I can see, it might do the brat some good to be roughed up a little! Now get him out of there!"

"Right!" Izumo and Kotetsu prepare to break in again.

"Wait- Don't!" I hear Naruto bellow.

"Naruto?" I question curiously. Udon and Moegi are behind him. All of them are out of breath.

"Hold on," Naruto gasps. "Just wait a second. I don't know exactly what's going on here, but don't be too rough on Konohamaru, huh? Please, Grandma Tsunade!"

"He's a friend of yours, is he?" Tsunade asks.

Naruto nods quickly. Tsunade looks back at the door. "Don't worry, I can get him out! Just let me talk to him! He'll listen to me!" Naruto exclaims
