for the rest of the night, i was grinning stupidly. brendon urie kissed me. what more could any girl want? i was literally living the dream. i sat on stage, but hidden from the crowd, watching brendon jump around and sing the most angelic vocals i've ever heard. he then does something that surprises me, because it wasn't on the setlist. brendon grabs an acoustic guitar from backstage and starts strumming it.
"wise men say.. only fools rush in.."
the screaming crowd recognizes the song and sing along.
"but i, can't help, falling in love with you"
he continues the song, but turns and looks at me. at the finish, he says to the crowd
"now i'd like you guys to meet someone very special. this is my girlfriend, azrael Santiago."
the crowd roars.
brendon sings more tracks, all while i'm onstage, and all looking at me intensely. when the show ends, he kisses me.
"you've got no clue how happy i am." he says.
i lightly kiss him back, but linger.
"oh, i do."
and we just sit there for awhile, in each other's arms.
