WARNING: Slight spoiler to the ending of The Pacific about halfway through.
"No, I'm sorry I haven't!"
"Can you believe her?" Joe's mouth hangs open, putting his arm around Rami's shoulders. Rami also pretends to look offended at me, and I can't help but laugh.
"I thought I could trust you," Rami shakes his head in disappointment.
"Okay, hold on a second," I hold up a finger at them. We're seated in our regular booth, starting with me on the far left followed by Rami, Joe, Gwil, and Ben. I look across the table at Ben and Gwil, looking for some back up. "You guys haven't watched The Pacific either, am I right?"
They just smirk at me. "Sorry, Jen," Gwil starts, and I sigh with defeat.
"They made us watch it all in one day in like, the second week of rehearsals." Ben finishes for him. He's referring of course to the five weeks they spent off camera at the beginning of the shoot, getting to know each other and memorizing the Live Aid performance.
Joe points at me this time. "HA." He says loudly, making Mary Ellen give him a stern motherly look as she walks by, and making the rest of us laugh at him for getting reprimanded.
"I have seen a couple clips you know," I squint at him, taking a bite of my french fry. "On YouTube."
"No," Rami says, sitting up. "You can't do that! It'll spoil the plot!"
I lean back in my seat, looking between Joe and Rami. Decisively I say, "Alright."
"Alright...?" Rami pushes.
"I was planning on watching it eventually, but if it means that much to you, I'll watch it tomorrow."
Joe raises his eyebrows. "All ten episodes?"
I put down my glass of water. "All in one sitting."
Ben looks at me, astonished. "Voluntarily? That's basically ten hours, Jen."
I shrug. "You guys did it. Besides, tomorrow is Saturday. Day off."
"Alright, well when should we come over? Any snack preferences?" Joe asks after taking a sip from his tea.
I give him a look, chuckling. "Oh, no. None of you are watching this with me. I will lock the door if I have to."
Rami sits up. "Not even me?"
I smirk at him. "Especially not you."
Joe scoffs. "But we were in it!" He then gestures at all four of them. "We're your best friends!"
