Like A Fool

Jihyo frowned as she watched Mina trying to cheer Momo up. She's worried about Mina. Mina is so fragile and everyone in the group knows it. Mina denied it a lot of times saying she's not that kind of girl but her actions just confirmed it. She might look like she's okay but deep inside she's hurting.

"That's so messed up." Jeongyeon said as she sat beside Jihyo drinking her orange juice. Jihyo raised an eyebrow. Jeongyeon pointed at Mina and Momo.

"To think of it, Mina is always been there for Momo. In good times, in bad times, she's always been there. But Momo never sees her, not even a glance. In the end she chose Nayeon." Jeongyeon looked at Mina with mix of pity and worry in her eyes.

"Just like you. You've always been there, but Nayeon unnie didn't even notice." Jihyo said as she placed a hand on Jeongyeon's shoulder. Jeongyeon shook her head and gave Jihyo a smile.

"I guess I've moved on already. I mean, it doesn't hurt anymore. I guess I've already accepted the fact that I'm her bestfriend, and will always be her bestfriend." Jihyo looked at Jeongyeon. To her surprise seems like Jeongyeon was telling the truth. 

"Jihyo stop looking at me like that you might fall for me." Jeongyeon said and bursted out laughing. Jihyo blushed for a moment but smack the back of Jeongyeon's head as soon as she recovers.

"Stop talking nonsense!"

Their class have already ended and Jeongyeon can see how lonely Momo was. Nayeon is still not around. She doesn't know what's going on Nayeon's mind but she can see that Nayeon was been thinking alot lately. 

She saw Momo stood up and left the room. She decided to follow. Her instincts were right, Mina was waiting for Momo. She can only sigh as she watch Mina being a fool for Momo. 

"What are you doing?." Jihyo asked and look at where she's looking at.

"I wanted to confirm something. Wait here." Jeongyeon said and started to approach Mina.

"Jeongyeon Unnie!" Mina greeted her.

"Going home?." She asked. Mina looked at Momo worried, Jeongyeon just nodded.

"Let's go on a date? This weekend?." Jeongyeon said ignoring the stares that Momo was giving her.

"I-I'm not sure." Mina said blushing but ofcourse she's still worried that Momo might need her.

"Okay. Just text me if you can go or not." Jeongyeon gave her a sweet smile which Mina returned.

"I'll be going. Take care okay?" Jeongyeon said as she hugged Mina tightly and placed a soft kiss on Mina's forehead before going back to where Jihyo is.

"What was that? Have you lost your mind?" Jihyo raised an eyebrow.

"Look at Momo." Jeongyeon said. Jihyo noticed the gloomy expression on Momo's face.

"I know she's sad the whole day but her expression is somehow mix of anger and sadness. Jealousy maybe?" Jeongyeon grinned. 

"Jeong are you planning to play cupid? If you are stop. Feelings isn't something you should play with." 

"I think you should say that to them not to me. Besides I'm not planning to play, I'm planning to watch the whole thing. It's interesting, besides, Mina is there I need to take care of her." Jihyo can only shook her head.

"Let me tell you a secret." Jeongyeon said as she watched Mina and Momo walk away.

"I think I like Mina. If Momo still won't see her, I'll grab the opportunity. I'll make her Mine." Jeongyeon said which surprised Jihyo. 

"Are you crazy?! Jeongyeon take it slow. You're maybe just confused right now." Jihyo said still can't believe what Jeongyeon just told her.

"Relax. I said I THINK I LIKE her which means I'm not sure either. I've moved on from Nayeon and I think it's because of her. Mina is so important to me, if ever I really do like her, I'll treat her right and if not, I'll always be her friend whom she can always lean on." Jeongyeon said seriously.

"You deserve to be happy Yoo. If you like her or anyone I'll support you." 

"Aww did I hurt your feelings? I'm sorry I forgot that you like - OUCH!" Jihyo hit Jeongyeon's forehead.

"Way to ruin the moment Yoo." 

"Why? Is that the moment where we kiss-OUCH! Yah Park Jihyo!" Jeongyeon glared at Jihyo who is already running away from her laughing.

"That's for waking you up in your fantasy Jeongyeon!"

"Momo unnie... Come on talk to me." Mina said still not giving up on Momo who haven't said a word to anyone.

"Okay. Maybe you just need some space. I'll call you later when dinner's ready." Mina said but before she can even leave Momo's room a hand stopped her.

"Stay. Stay here please." Momo said tears are already falling from her eyes.

"O-Okay.." Mina said and sat beside Momo.

"I'm sorry..." Momo said as she held Mina's hand.

"I'm sorry for always giving you a hard time. I should've been mature about handling problems but I acted like a brat instead. I really sorry." Momo said sincerely.

"I-It's okay.." Mina doesn't really know what to say. 

"Momo!" Sana suddenly barged into the room. This is actually the first time that Mina was actually thankful for Sana's habit of popping out of nowhere.

"What do you want?" 

"I wanted to talk to you about something" Sana whispered. Mina seems to hear it and decided to leave them alone.

"Did I say it out loud?" Sana said as soon as Mina left.

"Isn't it obvious?" Momo rolled her eyes.

"Whatever. I'm here because I'm going to give you something." Sana said and gave Momo a picture of MiMo. It's during Mina's birthday last year, Momo was kissing Mina's cheek which caught Mina off guard. It was taken by Sana. 

"Where did you get this?" Momo asked while looking at the picture.

"I took it right? I gave it to Mina but this actually fell from one of her books. I was about to gave it back to her when I saw a note in the back." Sana said and showed the back of the picture with Mina's writings.

"Whole nine yards.." Momo read but got confused. It was written in English.

"Do you know what it means?" Sana asked. Momo shook her head. 

"It means EVERYTHING..."

"I know it hurts a lot but... Are you crazy?! Look at you! You've been crying for days! If you want her back then do something. Stop crying and locking yourself in this house." Jeongyeon said bluntly. It's true though, Nayeon was the one who end the relationship meaning Momo was still in love with her. Getting her back would be easy.

"I can't..." 

"Why not?" Jeongyeon asked confused.

"I-I realized that I don't love her the way I should love her. I have always loved her as my friend but never as a lover." Nayeon said shaking her head. She was thinking about this for days now. 

"Why are you crying then? You should go to school and maybe fix things with her." 

"Jeong, you don't understand." Nayeon sighed.

"Then make me understand." 

"Everything is a mess. I broke Momo's heart, I fought with Jihyo, I did mean things to Mina. Jeongyeon I'm a mess." Nayeon said helplessly. Jeongyeon stood up and offer a hand to Nayeon.

"Hold my hand and trust me. I'll get you out of this mess. I'll save you." Jeongyeon said and gave Nayeon a smile. Nayeon gladly took her hand and hugged her.

"Thank you." 

'Like what Jihyo have always told you.. Yoo Jeongyeon you are a fool.' Jeongyeon thought.
