(Probably should be starting a new story but its too late now. @shiki36, thank you for the idea. It's probably not quite what you were thinking of, but I love all of Lucy's celestial magic and couldn't help myself. Please tell me what you think!)

Coming to consciousness, the boy blinked before spotting what had roused him from his sleep. There at the end of his bed his mother sat, speaking softly as she gently nudged him with her hand. "Good morning sleepy head. Do you remember what day it is today?" She asked, confusing him for a moment before his eyes widened in glee.

"Is my birthday! Am six!" He gasped, shooting up from his bed with new found energy. His mother chuckled at his .

"That's right sweetie. Let's have some breakfast before we head off to the mall." She added, getting up and leading the bundle of energy down the hall where he found breakfast already waiting for him. "I made pancakes while you were sleeping."

"Thanks mama!" He smiled before taking his seat at the table and gobbling down breakfast as quickly as possible. In this time he watched his mum gathering a couple things and placing them in her hand bag with her quirk. A twinge of envy filled him for a moment before he pushed it away. Despite what the doctor had said, he was sure there was still a chance he'd get a quirk, he just had to remain positive.

Rather than focusing on his lack of quirk, he simply finished his breakfast and ran back to his room to get changed. Now with his favourite All Might themed shirt and pants on he raced back to where his mother now stood by his favourite pair of red shoes. He pulled them on, not even playing with the velcro like he usually did, and together they headed out of their apartment and towards the nearest shopping centre. Thankfully for them it was only a ten minute walk which he filled with talk on heroes and quirks, jumping from topic to topic like a rabbit.

It was only once they were at the centre that he stopped talking and walking. His mother looked down at him, concern in her eyes and voice. "Izuku? is everything alright?" He didn't respond and instead focused on a strange feeling that was slowly filling his chest. It felt like a tug, like someone had tied a rope around him and was trying to lead him somewhere.

"Izuku? What's wrong?" His mother asked becoming more concerned for her son that was looking around like a mad man.

"I don't know. I feel something" He finally responded as he began following the tug. His mother didn't respond verbally but did take his hand as she followed her son past several stores, including his favourite hero merchandise store with out so much as a glance.

Finally he entered a store that neither had noticed existing before. It was small but filled with shelves of random, interesting looking objects. Again Izuku didn't look over anything but rather followed the tug that had strengthened as he'd come closer and closer to the source. As it turned out the source was a key shaped object, silver and rather decorated. A symbol marked the hilt of the key that they didn't recognise. Izuku picked up the key and it just felt right to hold and he knew that this is what he needed for his birthday.

After a discussion with his mum they decided that Izuku could get the key and if it didn't cost to much then he could pick out another present

After a discussion with his mum they decided that Izuku could get the key and if it didn't cost to much then he could pick out another present. Unfortunately the key was a little on the pricey side and his mother looked torn. His mum paid the lady at the counter for the key before they left the store, the lady manning the counter waving good bye to them as they left.

He didn't let got of the key even as he helped him mum shop for groceries, the walk home, or even after they got home. There was something special about this key, magical even, but he couldn't figure out how. Just as he was about to give up trying to figure this all out the key began to glow gold and the ground around him lit up. Words began filling his head and with out realising it he began to speak them allowed.

"I call upon thee in the world of the celestial spirits, I beckon you to my side at once. Pass through the gate. Open gate of the canis minor, come nikola" The sound of a door bell rang out and a little figure, almost looking like a shaky snowman, appeared.

His mother, hearing the commotion, entered his room to see this strange creature wobbling around and screamed, scaring both her son and the little snowman. "Mama it okay! I think it my quirk!"
