Things had changed in the two years since he got his first key. No longer was he bullied for his quirlessness, though he was still an outcast for the bizarre nature of his quirk. He had also found two more keys, growing his collection. The first of the two was gold and looked more decorated in comparison to his original key. Virgo, as his new summon wanted to be called, looked like a maid. She was able to explain the different keys as well as other possible powers he may have. Izuku wrote this so down in a new note book which he called 'Quirk Notes'. While Virgo could only give him the basics, there was apparently a key he could get to help him learn so much more. He hoped to get his hands on it one day in the bear future.
The second key he acquired was another silver and summoned Lyra who played the harp like she was an angel. The first time Izuku and his mum heard her play they both cried at how beautiful it was.
Now days he would summon nikola, which he has since named Plue with Virgo's help, before school to keep his mum company. He'd spend his time at school learning about everything he could before returning home where he would summon Virgo who would tell him stories of the spirit world as he did his homework. Izuku just knows that he would love to visit one day.
How ever today was not a normal day. On the way home from school, a peculiar man with lion like ears. While his physical appearance wouldn't normally raise any heads, it was his behaviour that had Izuku a little curious. A now familiar tug was blossoming in his chest as he walked towards the man.
"Are you looking for something? Did you need any help?" He asked the man who looked surprised.
"Yea if you don't mind. I'm looking for a key. I don't know where it went but I'm pretty sure it was around here somewhere."
Izuku nodded and began following the tug as he did when he found the other keys. The man looked confused but followed him any way, down a couple alleys and side streets till the tug was at its strongest. A quick scan of their surroundings and he spotted a glint of gold from a storm drain. With his thin and nimble fingers, Izuku was able to fish out the key and looked at the handle.
"So you're Leo then. I'm Izuku Midoriya, nice to meet you." He introduced himself, handing the key to the celestial spirit.
Leo was stunned. "How did you know?" Instead of replying verbally, Izuku revealed his own keys. "I guess that settles it. I'd be honoured to take up a contract with you."
"Are you sure? I don't want you to feel like you have to." He replied, started.
Leo smiled. "I'm sure. It's been a long time since someone was able to summon us, and I'd like to be able to help out."
Izuku flashed a brilliant smile as Leo began to glow gold before fading away back to the spirit world. Looking down at his new key he resolved to make an actual contract later with the lion spirit. He placed Leo's key with his others, feeling the new weight on his hip but actually feeling a little lighter now that he had a new friend.
