The past few weeks had been so hard for me. I began to believe I lost Johnny forever. Dallas went to go see them but I stayed because Darry hadn't been doing to well. I was at the DX with Soda and Steve. They were always with me because they knew how stressful it was for me to not know if my kid brother was alright. I got a phone call from Ponyboy. I answered quickly."Its Ponyboy." I told Steve and soda, who rushed over to me."hello?" I said."(Y/N)?" Ponyboy said."ponyboy? Pony where are you? How is Johnny?"I asked frantically."whoa calm down. I'm fine so is Dally. There was a fire. We're at the Windrixville Hospital. I'll send you the address." He said before hanging up. A minute later I received a text with an address. "Soda get in my car now. I'm calling Darry." I said, pulling up Darry's number. "Hello?" He said. "Darry! I just got a call from Ponynoy.""Ponyboy?!is he alright where is he?!" He said frantically."he said he's fine but he Sally and Johnny are at the Windrixville Hospital. Soda and I are on our way right now." I said. "OK I'm getting in my truck now I'll meet you there." He said,hanging up. When soda and I pulled up we looked for a place to park. After we did we ran to Darry who was already there. We rushed in and I went to the front desk. "Hi my name is (Y/N) Kade and this is Darrel and Sodapop Curtis. We are here to see Ponyboy Curtis, Johnny Kade, and Dallas Winston." I said."all three are on the second floor, but Dallas and Johnny are currently being operated on. Especially Johnny. Ponyboy however is just fine and should be waiting for you to bring him home." The lady said. I got super nervous when she said they were really working on Johnny. Darry sensed this and put his arm around my waist. Soda sensed it too and held my hand. "I'm sure Johnny will be just fine." Darry said, kissing the top of my head. I sighed as we entered the elevator. "I hope you're right." I said. When the elevator doors opened to the second floor Soda and I rushed out ahead of Darry. We saw Ponyboy make his way towards us. "Ponyboy!"I cried. I pulled him in a hug. Soda hugged us both. I pulled away as Darry walked up to us. I expected them to fight but instead they were crying in each other's arms. We all ended up in a group hug. I pulled away and held Pony boy's face, inspecting it. Aside from the soot stains there weren't any cuts or bruises. He looked at me scared. "Johnny's pretty bad." He said. Tears slipped down my face."I know." I said. He hugged me and I cried on his shoulder. "You ever disappear for this long again and I'll beat the tar out of you." I said,holding him tight. On our way out I stopped at the front desk. "Call me when Johnny can see visitors. Please." I said. The lady nodded and I left. I took Ponyboy home while soda went with Darry. "Johnny ran into a flaming church with me to save some kids' lives. The a fire lit beam fell on on him and he couldn't get out before the building collapsed. Luckily Dallas protected him." Pony said. I sighed."I'm going to drop you off. I need to go see the people who call themselves my parents." I said. "Let Darry go with you. Just so your "parents" don't try anything." He said as I pulled up to his house. I nodded. I waited for Darry. He got in my car and we drove to my "parents" house. I got out, Darry right next to me and walked in. "Mom Dad I'm home!" I said. They were both in the kitchen. Drunk as usual. "Who said you could show your face around here?!" My dad yelled. "Shut it! Just shut up! Thanks to you and your abusive ways Johnny spends the night in the lot. One thing led to another and now he is in the hospital. How dare you call yourselves our parents. You are probably glad that Johnny is there. Well let me tell you this. I'm filing a law suit against you two to get Johnny placed in my custody." I said, they scoffed. "You can't do that." My mom sneered. "Yes I can. I'm 20 I have my own apartment and I'm engaged." I said showing them my engagement ring." So weather not you like it I'm taking Johnny away from you monsters." I said, walking out of the house. Darry sat next to me in my car and I finally left the tears loose. Darry held me close."what if I loose Johnny? I can't deal with that!"I cried. "Don't worry. Johnny is strong. He should be able to make it through this." He said. "But what if he doesn't?!" I cried more. "Then ill help you get through losing him. The whole gang will. None of us will let you go through this alone. I promise." He said. I nodded and we drove to his place where i spent the night.
