A few days later, Renamon and I heard about a carnival that would be happening that weekend. She looked excited. " OH my GOD! That's gonna be soooo much fun!!! I haven't been to that one in years!!" She was practically shouting about it. "I...I don't really know....I'm not that into carnivals..."
Renamon looked at me like I was speaking a dialect of alienese or something. " Not into carnivals babe?! Who hurt you?"
" No one in particular, it's just...At the last one I was at, my brother was in an accident..." I said somberly.
Renamon saw I was saddened. " I'll make sure it isn't like that again, Okay, hun?"
I smiled a little, chuckling. " Okayyyy, I'll go."
" YAAAY!!" She shouts, kissing me excitedly. I kiss back, smiling.
That weekend, we got to the fair and, as we got in the gate, I tensed up a bit. Memories came flooding back, and Renamon could see that. She took my hand. " Hey, you okay? We can go home if you want. I won't be disappointed if we do, we-" No...I'll stay. I need to face the fear head on, and with you here, nothing is stopping me, Renamon." I smiled. I was going to put the nightmarish memory to rest! I could do this!
Hours passed and we had the time of our lives, eating cotton candy, riding fair rides, and running around with little digimon that were playing around on the jungle gyms! It was a blast!

As we began to walk back home, the wind picked up and Renamon began to shiver. I put my jacket around her shoulders to keep her warm. She smiled softly at me, gently holding my hand with her paw as we walked.
When we got home, she sat on the couch, as did I, and we got under a blanket and snuggled up together.
" I had a blast tonight, baby." Said Renamon. " So did I, love...I got over my fear, and had a lot of fun with the one person I love... you."
"Aww! I love you, baby!!" She kisses my cheek, holding me closer.
" I love you too, Renamon." I say, allowing myself to doze off in her arms.
