star gazing
weed blazing
fires raising
particle phasing
it's all the rave
and i know you can't
help but crave
the sweet release
of an empty stage
oh why don't you
depart for Maine
no you just sit
and watch the rain
lose your goals
and drain your face
i hope you know
i can't replace
half the stuff
they say you gave
the snow is wild
the wind is crazy
and yet you just
sit and gaze
on out the window
at the daisies
out the door
at the baby
it ain't yours
and yet you gave
your livelihood
your time of day
and it ain't yours
that sickly baby
you need to go
and take the train
right out of town
do not delay
or you'll get stuck
in yesterday
(you'll get stuck in yesterday)
