The shadows advanced blanketing her in a dim light.
There slippery hands gripped at her arm pulling her further into the darkness.
Soon she felt as if she was no longer made up of a substance but she felt more like a shadow.."No" she commanded
The Shadows stopped looking at her with confused and innocent eyes."I can't" she whispers again knowing a loud voice would terrify them.
"I must go" she says
Anger flickered through each shadows eyes but It died away as quickly as it was Born.
"Why". A Shadow whispered in its hoarse and quit voice.
"We need you" the other shadows whispered.
"I just can't!" She snapped.
The shadows released her folding back into the darkness.
"I'm sorry" she said quietly this time.
A small shadow stumbled out into the light.
She could see the hurt in it's cold eyes.
"You promised" it shrieked.
She cringed at the noise, never had a shadow risen its voice at her.
"I'm sorry but I can't" she repeated stepping back.
Another shadow came out of is hiding.
"You must" it said wrapping its transparent fingers around her wrist.
"No" she said louder.
"Yes" the shadows chanted reaching out from the dark to pull her in.
She could feel herself becoming once again lighter.
"Let me go!" She yelled
The anger had taken over the shadows minds.
They pulled her deeper into the darkness until she could not see anything.
All she could feel was the cold fingers wrapped around her wrists as they pulled her deeper.Until there was nothing left.
She became nothing but a shadow living in the dark corners of the world.
And every she longed for freedom.
And everyday it never came.
