deal, Jack. You do as i say, whenever i say it and you will never tell anyone about my true self. You will never tell anyone that i'm threatening you, you will never tell anyone that i'm here, unless they have seen me; if they have seen me, i'm your boyfriend. Only then will i never do your princesses harm. Deal?" Jack looked the brunette in the eyes, his own heart breaking at the thought of Ava and Charlotte hurting. "D-deal," He stuttered out, making Zach smirk at his weak state.
The darker eyed hummed, pulling the older closer to himself. "Make it believable, Jacky," Zach whispered into his ear, kissing Jack's cheek. Both heard a soft 'awhh' coming from behind the wall when Jack let a fake smile break out on his face. "Charlotte go to bed," Jack told the fourteen year old, making her walk towards him with a giggle. "Goodnight daddy," She kissed his cheek, giving her father a hug. "Goodnight, Zach," She said, eyeing the male up an down, before disappearing from sight and into her room.
"Y-you can l-let me go, n-now," Jack stuttered, the criminal's hands making him uncomfortable; or maybe it was just the fact that someone's hands held onto his hips. "What if i don't want to," Zach growled into his ear, tightening his grip and making the smaller, but older male whimper. "You listen to me, Jack. I do not have to listen to anything you say, that's the advantage of being the one holding onto the trigger; ready to blow someone's head off and make their blood land on your face and body. I do not have to listen to you," Jack could feel the bruises forming on his hips, Zach's grip was way too tight.
"Okay, i understand," Zach smiled at him. "Good boy," He brushed his fingers through the curly hair on the twenty-one year old's head, it was as soft as he had imagined. Jack looked at him with a glare, that sentence was so degrading. "Don't look at me like that," The older changed his look for the safety of his family, he knew with only Zach's stare he was not kidding about harming his loves. "See, you can be a good boy," A pout was formed with Jack's lips, looking down.
"Now, how about you get me a glass of water, mi amor," Zach sat down on the couch, his eyes closing with a smirk on his face while feeling Jack's stare. "Yeah, whatever," The curly haired mumbled, dragging his body to the kitchen. Standing in the kitchen, the boy eyed the knife handles, biting his lip in thought; would he be able to eliminate the criminal without harming his children? Without changing his mind, his fingers curled around the handle of the sharp knife; his grip was tight, making his hand turn paler. He snuck up to the boy slowly.
"I wouldn't try anything if i was you, Jacky," Ava laid on the younger's chest, her eyes closed, the weapon being held to her head as she slept. "You know, i should kill her for the thoughts you have. Wanting to kill me, literally stab me in the back. You should know better," Zach turned his head around, seeing Jack with the knife in his hand.
"I'm smarter than you think, Jack. Now, be a good boy, set the knife back and get me my drink," With his head up and his shoulders tense, Jack did as Zach had said. He pulled at his hair in frustration, leaning his elbows on the counter. Jack sighed, his thoughts were all over the place. He couldn't leave his daughters to go to the police, they would be killed with no mercy. He couldn't call, because Zach would have some way of knowing; in Jack's head. He couldn't protect his daughters without putting them in danger; that is if he tried to eliminate the criminal. The only thing he could do was listen to what the younger male had to say and do as he said.
"Are you alright?" The boy jumped the slightest in fright, seeing Charlotte frown at him. "What's wrong, dad? Are you okay?" Jack smiled at her, bringing the teen girl into his arms. "I'm fine, Charlotte. I'm just tired. Speaking of tired, it's almost three in the morning, go to bed; you have volleyball tomorrow," He had kissed her on the forehead, seeing her green eyes stare up into his. "Are you sure?" The worry in her voice made her father's heart break. "I'm sure, honey. Now, go to bed. I will check on you in a minute," She nodded, forgetting why she had even come to the kitchen. "Goodnight," He smiled at his daughter, telling her to sleep well and watching her enter her room safely.
"That was a lot of time for just a glass of water, don't you think, mi amor?" Jack had handed him the glass, sitting on the chair opposite of the couch. "Charlotte walked in and we talked," Zach looked the male up and down with a frown. He hummed, taking a sip of the fresh water and licking his lips after having set it down.
"You wanted to hurt me, right?" Zach questioned, his eyes fixed on the girl on top of him, brushing her hair out of her face with his index finger. "I- i wasn't- i just-" Jack mumbled, not knowing what to tell the male who had his daughter in his arms; it was true, Jack was going to harm him, most likely kill him if he had had the chance. "It's a simple question, Jack. There are only two answers, 'yes' and 'no'. But hearing you speaking, i already know your answer. It doesn't surprise me, i tried the same thing and got my family murdered," He shrugged with a small laugh.
"I'm sorry, i won't try anything else," Jack had tucked his knees to his chest, watching Zach brush his fingers through Ava's hair. "I've always wanted a daughter; tea parties, princesses, the happy smiles on their faces. I imagined so many good scenarios, but God never made them reality. I'm in the wrong with the way i'm living, i know, but i won't change that. This way of living has gotten me a better few years than all those years before that.
"I was with my family, until i was thirteen; they were murdered on my thirteenth birthday. Then i was with those people for twelve days. In twelve days they had managed to change my whole life. From day thirteen to now, i steal, kill; i do whatever it takes to get some laughs out of me, to forget what all had happened when i was in their captivity. They had chosen this way of living for me, i have chosen to continue with it," Zach's eyes wandered over Ava's face, taking in the small details of the young girl.
The older heard the male sigh, picking his daughter up and setting her down onto her father's lap once Jack had set his sock covered feet back on the ground. "I just needed a place to stay, it's nothing personal,"
