⇢ arms around you"SWEET DREAMS, SWEETHEART,"
Jack had kissed her forehead, pulling the covers over the four year old's body and placing the stuffed panda better under her arm. The male sighed, turning off the light and closing the door behind him. It was four in the morning and, still, Jack had not gone to bed; the cause of that being the dark eyed, younger male in his living room.
Jack opened the door to his older daughter's room, seeing her on her phone. "Charlotte, honey, i told you to go to bed. It's four in the morning, you have a game tomorrow, what are you doing up?" His teen daughter looked up at him, there were tear streaks on her cheeks and her eyes were the darkest red. "Oh my God. Honey, what happened?" He had ran towards her, placing her down into his lap and holding her tight, once he had sat down on the queen sized bed. "He broke up with me, daddy," She choked out, sobbing into her father's neck.
"I hate to say that i told you so, but i told you so," He sighed, holding her tighter. "That's not what you tell someone when they're heartbroken, daddy," She giggled, her father always knew how to make her laugh. "I know, i just wanted to see you smile," He kissed her cheek, before she had laid her head down on his shoulder again. "He was an asshole anyway. He never treated you right; never bought you flowers, never surprised you by coming by. He wasn't the one for you, because you deserve the best and he was just a piece of shit," Charlotte giggled once more, Jack never used bad words unless a hundred percent necessary.
"I just can't understand why he broke up with me. Although he's two years older, he seemed so sure of our relationship; he was kind to me and never treated me wrongly, he sent other girls away when they had flirted with him, or were just too close for his liking. I know he loved me, dad. And i loved him too," Charlotte knew Jack was only trying to make her feel better with his words, she knew he had liked Jonah since the beginning of their relationship and had strongly bonded with the sixteen year old over time.
"Maybe you should talk to him, try to get some answers out of the guy. He's a good kid, Charlotte. I don't think he would break up with you so suddenly and without a reason. You should talk to him, maybe ask him to go for coffee after your game tomorrow, or well, today," Charlotte nodded at him, her eyes closing while resting on her father's body. "Goodnight, i love you," She mumbled, almost incoherently, but Jack caught every one of her words. "I love you too, Charlotte. Sweet dreams," He had kissed her forehead, before setting her sleeping body down on the bed and covering her with the thousands of blankets she had on her bed.
Jack put her phone to charge and walked to the door with a frown. He looked back at his daughter while he was about to close the door. He watched her turn in her sleep and lay still with a hand above her head. "Goodnight, honey," He closed the door softly, making sure not to make a sound to wake the teen girl.
"Is she alright?" Zach questioned, startling Jack when the younger male had set a hand on his shoulder. "Y-Yeah, she's a-alright," He stuttered, Zach's stare was making him feel different, weird. "Are you sure? I could hear her cry," Jack watched the younger's face and eyes, Zach seemed genuinely concerned and it was scaring not only himself, but Jack too. "I'm sure, it's nothing to worry about," Zach nodded, rubbing his fingertips over his eyes.
"Are you tired?" "Yeah, kind of," The younger shrugged, folding his arms over themselves, putting his head down and shying away. "You can sleep in my room, i will sleep with Charlotte, or Ava tonight," Jack told him, walking towards his room with Zach following. "You can't, you have to stay with me. I don't trust you," "Fine with me, if they don't get hurt," Jack opened the door to his room. Walking to his closet he pulled out two pairs of sweatpants and shirts. "Thank you, mi amor," Zach smiled, taking one pair out of Jack's hands. "Stop calling me that," "Get used to it, mi amor. You will hear it as long as i stay; we have to make it believable,"
When Zach had left the bathroom, watching Jack in the mirror the whole time, the older entered and closed the door behind him. Jack brushed his teeth and washed his face, sighing as the water dripped from the few curls that had soaked it up. He dried his face with a towel, unlocking the bathroom door and stepping through it to his room.
Jack had laid down on one side of the bed, while Zach was on the other, the weapon he used to threaten Jack with was on the bedside table. The older hadn't said a word, closing his eyes and turning his back to the younger male. "Hey! What are you doing?" Zach sighed at the startled male, tightening the tie wraps around his wrists. "Sorry, mi amor, but i'm going to sleep and i don't trust you won't try anything," The brunette pulled the covers off of Jack's body, tying the tie wraps around his ankles. "Get these off of me," Jack said with a low growl, keeping his voice from raising so he wouldn't wake his daughters. "Sorry, mi amor, no can do," Zach pulled the covers back over his body, while the older male struggled to get free.
"Stop it," The brunette looked him in the eyes, his teeth clenched. "You're hurting yourself, stop it," Jack hadn't even listened to him, the tie wraps cutting through his skin and drawing blood. "I told you to stop!" Zach yelled, grabbing onto Jack's hands. "Stop," Jack stopped moving while tears built up in his eyes. "You're going to be a good boy and fall asleep. Stop trying to remove them, because it won't happen," The older laid on his side, pulling his knees to his chest. The cuts on his wrists were burning and bleeding, but that hadn't stopped him from silently trying to come free.
"What did i tell you, Jack?" Zach growled, making the older face him by grabbing his chin. "I wouldn't do them harm if you listened to me, you're not listening to me," Jack looked down once Zach had lost his grip on his chin the slightest. "Be a good boy and stop," The younger brushed his fingers through the curly hair, laying Jack down again and this time grabbing onto Jack's hands with his arms around the male. The twenty-one year old closed his eyes, he was too exhausted and in too much pain to protest; and, maybe, somewhere inside of him, he liked Zach's arms around him.
