poison jokes

OPENING THE DOOR

to their apartment, Jack put his shoes in the rack and hung his jacket with the others. The rest of his family mimicked the action and left to do their own thing. "Hey! Leave the door open you two!" Jack called after his daughter and her boyfriend, knowing how he was when he was sixteen. "Yes, dad!" Charlotte replied with burning cheeks, leaving the door open just a millimeter to annoy her father.

"Check on them every once in a while, will you?" Jack looked at Zach with a small smile, a genuine smile. "Of course, mi amor," He smiled, pecking Jack's cheek softly; maybe he liked pretending a little too much, too. Jack's cheeks burned at the action, but he quickly turned to the sandwiches he was going to make for lunch so it wasn't noticeable.

"He seemed really familiar, baby," Jonah sighed, brushing his hair through the wet locks of Charlotte's hair, since she had showered when they came home; it was now an hour later. "I don't know, Jo, maybe you've seen him at the grocery store, or something," She looked up at him, frowning once she had seen he was lost in his thoughts. "Hey, don't worry about it. It's probably nothing you have to worry about, baby," She pecked his lips softly, leaning her head back on his chest once he had sighed.

"Hey, you guys doing alright?" Zach opened the door, smiling at the two, who were watching the new episodes of their favorite tv-series. "Yeah, we're doing alright. Thank you, Zach, but you don't have to check up on us every ten minutes like my father asked you to do," Zach only smiled at her. "But i listen to what my love tells me to do and do so, Charlotte, i'm sorry," The twenty year old looked down, smiling shyly. Charlotte smiled at the sentence falling from his lips, she really thought her father had chosen an amazing person; the last of his boyfriends, in the last four years she had been with him, hadn't ever listened to her father and controlled him in every way possible.

"Lunch is ready, by the way, we want you at the dining table in about five minutes," They had nodded at him, smiling once he had closed the door behind him. "Come on, baby, let's get up before my dad gets mad," Charlotte pulled the older up by his arms, a smile forming with her lips once he pulled her close and placed a love filled kiss on her lips. "Alright, let's go," Charlotte giggled, being pulled out of the room gently.

"How is this so good!" Zach questioned, a frown on his face once he had taken another bite of the sandwich. "Probably because it's filed with poison," The look on Zach's face, Jonah had received was priceless. "I'm kidding," Jonah stated softly, once Zach hadn't taken another bite, nor swallowed the food that was already in his mouth. Nevertheless, if Jonah was kidding, or not, Zach stood to his feet and spat the food in his mouth out into the trash can; these were not the type of jokes Zach could laugh about. The brunette had from the kitchen walked towards Jack's bedroom, ignoring the call from the older.

"I'm sorry mr. A, it was supposed to be a joke," Jonah looked down, hearing the older male sigh. "It's not your fault, Jonah, he's just been through a lot. I will go after him, you guys continue eating and clean up when you're done, will you," When Jack had entered his bedroom, Jonah's head hit the table. "Your dad hates me now, i'm sure of it," Charlotte sighed softly. "He does not hate you, Jonah. Stop saying that. Stop being so insecure around my family," She picked his head up and pecked his lips. "And what if he hates you, i won't care," She shrugged.

"What's wrong?" Jack had squatted down in front of Zach, putting his hands on the younger male's knees. "Nothing, just not fond of poison jokes," "Why's that?" Zach looked at him silently for a minute, choosing to trust the curly haired with the information of his past.

"They set me at the table everyday, put two pills in front of me and a glass of water. They said one of the pills contained poison, the other would give you nothing, but a headache; if you had those, you would be set in the maze of fun as they called it. Inappropriate games, and quests were all around it. I had to do it for twelve days and never made it out, until the thirteenth, where i managed to find my way out. They let me go, because i had given them the pleasure they had wanted and now i'm here. I don't even know how i had escaped death for twelve pills, but somehow that's what happened," Zach shrugged, looking at Jack who's eyes had widened at Zach's story and that was not even half of it.

"Are you sure there was even poison in one of them?" Jack questioned, a frown on his face. "I don't want to know," Zach shook his head, taking Jack's hand in his own and kissing his knuckles. "But don't go investigating, now, mi amor. I could still harm your girls with one snap of my fingers. Do not ever try to interfere with my past," Jack nodded, looking down. "Use your words, mi amor," Zach pulled his chin up, so he could look the male in his eyes. "Okay, Zach," "Such a good boy i have here, huh?" Jack's cheeks once more turned bright red.

"Daddy? Grandma's on the phone," Ava opened the door saying, walking towards her father with a smile. The little girl gave her father the apartment telephone and stood there with her little arms behind her back. "Come here, cutie," Zach smiled, stretching his arms out to her. Ava giggled, being set in his lap.

"Yeah, mom, everything's alright. Yes, the girls and i are fine, there's nothing wrong. Why are you calling so suddenly?" Jack paused between his sentences to hear his mother talk, closing his eyes in frustration. "Sure, come over whenever you want to," And after saying goodbye, he hung up the phone with a low growl and evident sigh. "My mom's in town, she's going to stay over for a few days," "Why is that so bad?" "She wants to control my life," Zach had only nodded at him, seeing the bright smile form on Ava's face and show her two front teeth missing.

"Don't tell your mother a thing about our situation, mi amor. Be a good boy," Zach had whispered in his ear, putting his hand over Ava's eyes and softly biting Jack's earlobe. Jack's whimper was evident in the silent room, his head nodding 'yes' quickly. "Good," Zach once more whispered, walking out of the bedroom with Ava on his hip. "For fuck's sake," Jack cursed, the criminal was getting him excited in places he shouldn't be.
