Work was weird, quiet, uncomfortable to say the least. I felt like everyone knew something that I didn't.

"May I speak with you in my office before you leave Ms. Wilds..." Mr. Oleary said approaching my desk.

I couldn't imagine what he would want now.

"Yes?" I said closing the door behind me.

"Is everything okay?" He questioned.

I wasn't too sure as to what he was talking about. I was fine.

"Yes, why?"

"You and Mr. Dylan have been a bit... A bit odd lately." Mr. Oleary wasn't dumb, he knew what was up.

I sighed. As bad as I wanted to vent, I didn't need it back firing on me so I kept it professional.

"Ohhh, yes we're fine." I fake smiled and left out his office. I didn't need him questioning me any more.

Travis had been ignoring me all week and it was driving me INSANE! I wanted to talk to him, I needed to talk to him, I needed his touch again. Lately, I hadn't been keeping Trina up to date with what was going on. She wasn't too fond of the situation anyway.

My mind was racing. I finally gave in and called him. The phone kept ringing and ringing, finally someone picked up.

"Hello?" The woman said.

I felt like I was going to be sick to my stomach. Travis really lied to my face! It was time to be petty, two could play this game.

I cleared my throat as the woman said hello again.

"Hi, hi yes. This is the receptionist from his job. My boss wanted me to call and remind Mr. Dylan of the employee dinner tonight at The Plaza Hall." I lied.

She was quiet for a moment. It was evident he didn't even have my number saved. Disgusting.

"Employee dinner? He hasn't mentioned anything of that to me?" She started getting suspicious.

"Oh... Well ma'am I'm just relaying the message. It's a very important executive meeting involved and he has to be there by 7P.M"

"Oh, okay. Well I'll be sure to let him know." She said and we both hung up.

Travis was in for a surprise of his life time.

As the night time rolled around, I prepared myself to get my man back! I looked good in my all black dress with the back cut out and YSL heels. I put on some red lipstick & slicked my hair in a ponytail. Ready.

My phone started vibrating as I walked to my car.

"Hello... Hold on, it's connecting to the bluetooth." I said to Trina.

"What's up?"

"Nothing. Just checking on you." She said in a weird tone.

I cleared my throat.

"I'm fine. Just heading out to handle something."

She sighed.

"Rae, if it has anything to do with Travis... It ain't worth it."

Trina was right, but my mind was already set.

"I gotta' go Trina." I hung up.

I could feel my heart racing as I pulled up to The Plaza Hall. It was a small but decent restaurant. As I walked in, I could feel all the eyes on me. The waitress seated me as I looked for Travis in the crowd. I spotted the waitress flag him down when he came in & I put the menu up to my face so he couldn't see me.
