Chapter 3:The Katana Meets the Swift Sword

Well Its a New week meaning two more chapters lol Hoped you enjoyed the previous one Ill contune where I left off

The next day Jordan and Eve are walking to the Head building again to go to the ETB or Equip Tivens Building as they are walking they see Alana walking right up ahead.  When they reach her she tries to walk faster to get away from them but no success “hey Alana” says Jordan walking side by side with here “hello and congratulations I heard about your successful win”, “how” says Eve coming up from the other side of Alana “well the board changes daily so everyone who seen the board sees that Jordan along with two other people scored points and people are talking about it” says Alana “so what's my score” says Jordan , “ since the guy was 347 you scored a  49.5” says Alana they talk and walk for a couple and finally reach the ETB where miss Laura who is wearing a Japanese silk black dress with purple a lotus flower on it she is 5’7 with purple eyes, long black hair and pale skin. The ETB room is large with chairs surrounding a 20ft by 20ft mat in the center with miss Laura standing in the middle and a couple of other equip students sitting there Jordan finds a seat up front with Eve and Alana sitting at his sides “ welcome students as you know I'm your equip instructor and the person that will bring you hell now I got a question for you what is the type of weapon used for close combat called” , Jordan raises his hand “yes you up front with the katanas” says miss Laura pointing at Jordan “the answer is melee weapons” says Jordan “correct melee weapons now a lot of Tivens choose to have both just in case but it looks like you only got melee weapons now for those Tivens with just melee weapons need to rely on strategy and skill for some opponents because Mewails aren’t dumb if you are not careful they will trick you and finish you that’s why I want you to remember stay vigilant or lose your life now boy tell me your name” , “Jordan” says Jordan sternly hanging on to the fact she called him boy “okay Jordan please enter the match and by the way if I don’t know your name that is what ill refer to you as girl or boy until you prove to me your name or if I ask whichever comes first, now who will volunteer to face my friend in sword to sword combat” says miss Laura two people raise their hand a guy with a black hood hiding his face at the back and Alana miss Laura points to Alana “alright girl what's your name” says miss Laura “Alana” says Alana “and I see you’re a melee equip Tiven without long distance weapons either this should be interesting” says miss Laura with a smile. Alana steps down and faces Jordan miss Laura grabs two wooden swords from the wall and tosses them at Jordan and Alana who catch them and then miss Laura says begin and in a flash Alana is inches away from Jordan bring the sword from the right but before it reaches him he blocks it tries to combat Alana who just backs and dodges Jordan's swings. Alana jumps back and her and Jordan charge at each other with their swords locked then in a wisp of wind Alana jumps back and tries to sweep Jordan's feet Jordan jumps in the air pulls off a back flip dodging the blade but before he catches his footing Alana comes at Jordan causing then to lock up their swords with Alana trying to push Jordan off the edge of the mat. As they are in a power struggle trying to push each other back miss Laura smiles grabs another wooden sword from off the wall and tosses is over Alana’s head  seeing the sword Jordan pushes the sword  off Alana’s sword thus propelling himself in the air with a front flip allowing him to catch the second sword and face Alana who charges and sends a fury of attacks in reaction Jordan looking calmer then he did in the beginning of the match blocks all of Alana's on coming attacks and knocks her sword and arms into the with the second sword however before Jordan can move the first the other sword again Alana swings here sword down and Jordan jumps back to the edge and allows himself to fall out match to end. Miss Laura claps her hands and then says “amazing movements you guys truly prove why you only use melee weapons”  then Jordan extends his hand to Alana and says “good match I thought I had you for a second” Alana smacks his hand away and goes back to her seat there’s a brief silences and then Jordan shakes his head smiles and takes his seat then miss Laura begins to explain why a lot of Tivens use both guns and melee weapons and during that entire time Jordan stares at Alana knowing why she smacked his hand away. After class Eve tells Jordan she has two guys she wants to talk to about forming a guild and that she’ll meet up with him later Jordan shakes his head in agreement and they split up. Jordan decides to head to town by the border of Whitelight which is a ledge over seeing a large forest “I thought the shield was suppose to be up but the fact that I can extended my arm past the ledge shows it isn’t I wonder if there are some technical problems huh and what am I going to do about actually trying to get to know people” Jordan thinks to himself and then shakes his head “why did you do it” says a voice coming from behind Jordan, Jordan turns around to see that its Alana standing behind him with her arms crossed “why did I do what” says Jordan smiling knowing exactly what she's talking about  “don’t play dumb you let yourself fall when you had me on the ropes, why did you do it” says Alana now looking with intent “I don’t know what you're”, “cut the crap” Alana says cutting Jordan off “I hate people letting me when cause I'm a girl so you better give me a good answer or else I make you give me one” says Alana drawing her sword, Jordan shakes his head and draws his sword and says “come and get it”. Alana charges at Jordan and swings her sword rapidly and Jordan feels the weight “how is she able to swing it so fast” says Jordan blocking the oncoming attacks “I heard people talking about an amazing swordsman at the entrance exam whose blade was swift heavy I always thought it as a guy and I wanted to fight that person to see if the skills of this person were true and now I know it wasn’t a guy but a girl who is tired of the way people treat her” Jordan thinks in his head after blocking her final an attack. They both stop and are at a face off Jordan smirks and charges with a intense speed he swings his sword Alana throws hers up to block Jordan's and uses it as a trampoline bounces over her and she spins to face him and they both stop Jordan holds his katana extended at her neck and Alana does the same with her sword at him. “Well I guess that’s it” says Jordan putting his katana away “what do you mean that’s it was a tie” says Alana with her sword still pointed at Jordan's neck “I know which is why I’m going to tell you why I let you win” , “I don’t get it”,  “look you showed me that you are serious about finding out the answer and I liked your persistence you have great skills as a swordsmen and I would love to go head to head against you in a serious match which is why I feel like I can trust you to tell you why I let you win”, “okay” says Alana confused “look I see how serious you are about finding the answer to why I let you win so I’m going to tell you” says Jordan, he then takes a deep breath and explains “look the reason why I let you win is because I don’t want this school to try to control me when people see someone of skill or talent they try to control it to look powerful themselves and I don’t feel like having hundreds of people challenging me when I saw I was using two swords instead of one I knew I was going too far, plus I fear my power and of losing control ” says Jordan , “that makes since but why do you use one katana when you can hide your skills just as easily as you can with two” says Alana “I don’t want to talk about that it’s something really personal Eve doesn’t even know” , “fair enough well see you later” says Alana walking away “Alana by the way you want to form a guild with me and Eve”, “I don’t know get more members and I’ll think about it” says Alana who smirks and jogs away. Jordan smiles and heads home he arrives home at 10:00 and heads down the hall toward his room where he sees even stretched out on his bed again. “Hey” says Jordan taking his seat in the chair by his desk again “hi” says eve looking exhausted “what happened I thought you found some cute boys that we could make a guild with” Jordan says in a joking voice “I did but they started talking about how they were going to protect me and when I told them I could handle myself he put his arm around me and said come on baby and that’s when I flipped his ass” said he who exhales exhaustingly “how about you did you find anybody let me guess no” , “well” , “what you found someone” , “ohm”, “ you did who is it” says eve with a big smile Jordan shakes his head with a smile “its Alana but she said she wasn’t going to join unless we found one more person” says Jordan. Eve smile changes into a frown and she shakes her head “you know I don’t like her, what is the matter with you”, “well?” says Jordan scratching his head “you like her don’t you” says Eve with a pouty face “know I just find her interesting” , “well whatever make me food and I’ll forgive you” says Eve crossing her arms Jordan shakes his head smile and walks out the door down the hallway into the kitchen and as he is making food he gazes out the window and sees a blue flash  of light “huh lighting I wonder why now it was so sunny outside earlier”.
