Chapter One: continued

in the hallway and grabs her two knives and her gun putting her gun in her holster by her leg and her knives in her hidden skirt pockets. "Why are your knives and guns in my closet?"  Jordan asks looking puzzled "they are here just in case I forget to bring mine from home or if I spend the night and your hormones get the best of you," Eve winks at Jordan and then walks out the door Jordan shakes his head and follows behind her. They head toward the Head building which is two miles away the Head building is in the center of Whitelight academy which is a full city that is set above a large forest and border by four other academies the point of these academies is to help kids from ages twelve to seventeen become Tivens people with special skills or abilities that fight creatures called Mewails who are products of a thing called the Red Star effect, Tivens also hunt down criminals and work as bodyguards. Kids come to join academies to heighten and perfect their skills this is also the only way for someone to become a solo Tiven or a guild. Jordan and Eve are trying to become Tivens and create a guild which is why they are heading to the Head building for the entrance ceremony. When they are a mile away from the Head building a girl 5'6 with long black hair, dark skin and blue eyes wearing the same uniform as Eve with a sword on her back speeds by on her black bike nearly hits them. They managed to see and dodge her coming only seconds before she reaches them however before they have time to react to her entrance three prey mantis like creatures with pitch black skin oval shaped heads and six thin orange eyes speed pass them chasing after the girl. When the creatures and girl are out of sight Eve and Jordan hop to their feet. "She could have hit us" states Eve dusting herself off "Eve she was being chased"Jordan responds worried looking in the direction the girl went in "well you're right lets go help her but I'm not letting the fact that she could have warned us to move out the way go"  Eve states running in the direction of the girl and the creatures with her knives in her hands. Jordan shakes his head and runs after her. He catches up with them twelve meters away from the Head Building entrance gates in the middle of a field where Eve and the mystery girl stand back to back to each other are surrounded by the three prey mantis like creatures.

The mystery girl with her sword in her hand charges at the mantis creature in front of her and knocks its scythe shaped claws upward and slices it in half. The creature in front of Eve charges at her swinging its claws but Eve manages to dodge each swing and returns with blows of her own with her knives fighting like a boxer landing blows to the creature's body and then finishes it off by jumping in the air with a spin slicing its head of and then kicking it four feet away landing with a back flip. Jordan sits and stares with approval until he sees the last prey mantis creature charge at the mystery girl however before the creature reaches her Jordan pulls out his katana in the white sheath and slices the creature in half landing in front of the mystery girl on one knee with his katana across, him then he stands places the katana back in its sheath. Then Jordan asks the mystery girl if she is okay and as she nods Eve walks over with her knives still in her hand. "You could have hit us" yells Eve "Eve she was being chased by Mewails"  Jordan tries to reason "she still could have yelled something like hey get out of the way or that she needs help and we would have been able to do something to help her", " look this school is here to teach and help students perfect their abilities and when it comes to becoming a Tiven you need the ability to sense things coming and be prepared to fight at any moment it's not my fault you're  too ignorant to understand that," the girl counters in a matter of factly tone the "oh I'll show you ignorant" growls Eve walking closer to the mystery girl " I bet you will" said the mystery girl drawing her sword. Jordan not trying to have another fight on his hand jumps in the middle of them "hey look we don't want anybody dead over here", "I do" said Eve cutting Jordan off he turns around and gives Eve a glare "let's just start over" Jordan continues understanding that Eve just wanted the girl to ask for help "hi nice to meet you I'm Jordan Cross but people call me J.C" Jordan extend his hand "my name is Alana " said  Alana who shaking Jordan's hand and then smiles "and this is Eve" said Jordan glaring at Eve who sticks her tongue out at him "that's disgusting" states Alana,  "well" said  Jordan jumping in front of Eve we better get to the Head building before the ceremony is over. They all walk through the gates into the Head building and are ushered by golden knights, high class Tivens that guard the academy and makes sure rules are enforced. They all take a seat inside the head building which is like a huge auditorium with three enormous sections one with the header of third years the next with second years and finally the one where Eve and Jordan are sitting at named first years Alana was ushered two rows below Jordan and Eve who are sitting next to each other with Eve surveying the rows looking for cute boys.  At first everyone is loud talking joking and meeting with old friends and then when the lights are turned out except for on stage where there are seven large chairs setup next to each other everyone begins to quiet down. And then four men and three females walk out and take their seats at the chairs when it is completely silent the man in the chair in the center of the stage walks up. He is wearing a long white jacket that touches his ankles a white shirt with a golden cross in the center and white pants with gold trimmings. He walks up to a microphone on the stage and faces all of the people in the auditorium and speaks "hello their students I'm your beloved principal Noah Valor and I am delighted to meet you all"  Noah smiles which shines along with his pale skin, hazel eyes and short Blond hair. He begins to bow and all the girls in the auditorium jump up and cheers except for Alana and Eve who just gives a large smile and begins to clap. Jordan begins to get an uneasy smile from the principal and tries to shake it off. " now that I have your attention let me explain to you all what white light academy is and the rules that come with being here", "first is that you are in this academy for three years first  your go through the alpha phase where they have three classes, one class a day on Monday there will be an environmental class like you will have today where all first year students attended one class with Lucas Major from 10:00am to 3:00pm" , he gestures to a large 6'0 muscular man with black eyes, short brown hair, and pinkish skin though not as pale as Noah, he is wearing a black and red jacket and blue jeans.  "Next" he continues, "you will have class on Tuesday with an instructor of your ability the equip instructor Mary Laura, the beast instructor Nigel Stern, and the bionic instructor Terrance Steel from 11:00 to 4:00. Finally on Wednesday all first years take a classes with the Mewail instructor Isaiah Seth from 12:00 to 5:00", says Noah gesturing all the instructors to stand up and then they all sit back down "after your classes you will have four days of rest or days to take missions as a guild which you will be allowed to form or as a single Tiven we encourage you guys to form guilds because there will be a competition between guilds at the end of the year with an amazing prize but it isn't required", " now once your guilds are formed when you come and register them you will be able to recruit anyone no matter  the year and guilds that already exist from our second and third years now it's your choice on whether you join or become a solo Tiven or to join a guild just like it's the guilds choice to choose you" , " now once you guys have your guild form you will be given a place where your guild will meet at  and that will be where your mission reports will be placed and for solo Tivens you will receive reports in the letter now for those who are undecided you will receive information about these missions as well and you guys can even ask someone not a part of your guild to help you and you both can receive credit as well as two guilds working on the same mission" , "I encourage you all to do missions as a way to get your stats up during these missions you will be ranked by your skills which will rest from the previous points that are posted on the board from your entrance exam, and don't forget you get points defeating someone of higher skill than you where we take that person's skill that they have at that moment and divide it by seven  and add it to your skill level but the score doesn't get added till the next day and since the reset doesn't start till tomorrow I hope you try your best in challenging each other to battles after school because the gym, Evo center, and training hall are all opened until 11:00pm but remember they have to except ,  and the number of missions you complete as well as difficulty, the difficulty of a mission is ranked letter wise from s-f with s being the highest and your guilds will be ranked the same way while you are individually ranked by number from 0-700 with 700 being the strongest and everyone's rank is posted on the board outside of the Head Building, now if your ranking is below 100 your first year you will have to repeat the year second year its below 160 and finally the third year is below 220 and like your second year during your third year the only thing you have to worry about is missions " , " finally I will explain to you the rules of this academy and know that this is the same for all schools", principal Noah takes a deep breath and says " I want all students to understand the Whitelight does this to ensure their student's safety and if any rules are broken you will be given a warning and then after the second time you will be kicked out of Whitelight academy now these rules are very simple first off no leaving the school grounds unless give consent or if on a mission second, there will be no staying out of your dorm after 11:00 pm everyone must be inside their homes or the homes of a friend or family now I've realize some of you have been attacked by Mewails" Jordan widens his eyes " How did he know that maybe other people were attacked and came to him but how could he have possibly, someone probably reported to him" Jordan thinks in his head looking at Eve who is awe struck by Noah talking and Alana who eyes are widen like Jordan's apparently surprised as well  which gives Jordan some relief  that he's not crazy. Noah continues " we had a problem with our shield and the some Mewails from outside the academy in the forest may have gotten inside but so far we have been able to manage them and the shield will be up and running again at 9:00 now that brings us to the next rule their we have exits that allow you to leave the academy which lock themselves at 11:00 pm which is why we are against anyone leaving after that time and if you are staying with relative on a weekend for example we need you to sign out. We don't mind you having any pets either, now one final rule is that we have neutral grounds where people from other guilds are permitted to enter but no one from an opposite guild should be staying in someone from this academy's dorm if we find out anyone has broken any of these rules they will be kicked out" says Noah looking relieved to be done with that part his smile returns and he closes saying "I am glad you all have joined and returned for a new and another year at Whitelight academy now let's all have a great year" as Noah finishes announcement over the intercom says all first years please head to the Evo center for class which is located in the building east of the Head building. Everyone exits through the entrance from where they came to look at their scores at the billboard in front of the Head Building Jordan follows behind Eve while looking to find Alana hoping to find her and talk about what they heard but he couldn't find her. When Jordan and Eve made it to the billboard as everyone else was clearing out Jordan saw that Alana scored a 325 and so did Eve who pulled out her gun shooting two bullets in the air and smiled "what is the problem with you" said Jordan standing up from ducking on the ground with his ears cover "I scored higher than her" said Eve Jordan looked on the board and saw that she scored  a 325.5 Jordan faces went straight " are you serious you shot that gun for that nearly blowing my ears off are you serious" yelled Jordan "hey I will shoot you with them" says Eve pointing it at him Jordan exhales and says " don't matter to me I'm not competing with you two" , "I'll say you scored a 200 are your serious the fact that I know you makes it obvious that you weren't trying all you had to do is fight a clay doll and you scored a 200" , "I don't know what you're talking about" , " oh come on Jordan tell me why you won't use both swords and the fact that you don't use the wind slices that come out of them is even more suspicious I mean I've know you for years is it because" , " No it Isn't" Jordan yells with his head down "let's get to class" says Jordan heading to the Evo center

Sorry my work got double spaced and  I meant to put the entire first chapter in here but I wantted to know what you thought about the first page for now on its stright chapter and there pretty long but short by my satandards hope you enjoy
