Chapter 8: The Genius Makes a Move

While Jordan was dealing with the man with orange eyes Alana and Mi had there own worries which held them up. A man dropped down seven meters in front of the two females who had just crossed the bridge by the skins of their teeth. "well, well it's rare for me to to run into two skilled beauties such as yourselves I must thank my friend later for this, Alex Ruination it's my pleasure to have the courtesy of killing you both" said the man bowing, he had long silver hair and bright green eyes with a bionic right arm wearing a gray short sleeve shirt and white jeans. "I take it you're the one responsible for the bridge collapsing and bring us down one teammate" says Alana before staggering and being caught by Mi "and I'm guessing your still tired" Mi interjects with a worried tone "ooohhhh you mean your boyfriend down there yeah my partner had business with him so you ladies have a date with me" Alex said with a smile. "I take it you're not here for the competition then" Mi presumes "That's correct so if you don't mind ladies I would like it if you died easy but if you don't want to, I do enjoy feisty women as well" Alex says with a large grin. As Alana tries to stand on her own and staggers again Mi sits her down "I'll be fighting this time you sit here and wait for him to get back" Mi instructs her, "but" Alana starts "if he's as strong as you were telling me then there shouldn't be anything to worry about plus if he makes it back in time he could give you another piggyback rides" Mi ensures her with a smile and then turns to face Alex "ooohhhh so I do have a feisty one" Alex states excitedly as he turns his right arm into a cannon shaped gun "perfect". "first sign" Mi says as she dashes toward Alex, seeing her coming Alex shoots a sound wave five feet wide using her blade Mi Shoots the ground to the left of her sending her body to the right avoiding the blast the second she lands she continues to charge forward counting to herself "One, two, three, four, five" once she hits five the guy fires at her again she once again activates her first sign and shoots to her right avoiding the blast again. She then counts to herself again "One two three four, five" Once again after saving five Alex shoots again and Mi once again uses her first sign and continues forward after realizing the pattern Mi can see she only has one chance before he changes tactics. Mi begins to press forward and as expected Alex shoots another blast as she starts to activate her first sign Alex appears behind the blast "there won't be any dodging now honey, you thought I was gonna let you get pass another one" Alex says diving at the side and shooting the blast causing the sides to widen making it impossible for Mi dodge to the left or the right. Mi smiles and shoots to the ground launching a chunk of the ground and herself above the blast. As she glides her hand across her blade while in the air she aims her body at Alex and steps off the chunk of ground that she sliced off earlier and launches herself at Alex swinging her 19 inch blade downward Alex blocks with his bionic arm which Mi uses as a force to propel herself over him and spins around swiftly with the blade at his neck "is this feisty enough for you" Mi asks sarcastically as she glares "you could say that but I doubt you would" as Alex was about to finished his statement he stopped when he felt Mi's blade drip a bit of crimson blood from his neck as she continued to glare at him "My suggestion is that you don't assume what will happen and just stay silent" Mi insisted. Alex went quiet, to retrain him they tied his shirt around his arms and had him face-down on the ground. ten minutes later Jordan pulls himself upward and runs over to Mi and Alana "glad you guys are okay" Jordan says with relief but before there's anytime to receive a reply another three people come from out the forest and arrive at the destroyed bridge seeing "I guess will have time to talk after we make it pass this part Jordan you grab Alana" , "Okay what about him" Jordan asks pointing at Alex "we might have to take him to guess I have no choice third sign" Activating her third sign Mi summons a black and blue fox familiar "what is that" Jordan asks staring in surprise "No time to explain just grab Alana and my familiar will have this guy" Mi demands and with that they head for the finishing point.
