"Selfish"
I know you think it's wrong
For me to want you to be here
At any time
On any day
Whenever I need you
And I know you think it's wrong
That I depend on you
To feel loved
To feel alive
But am I really to blame
For my selfish tendencies
When we were built with default settings
To protect ourselves no matter what
And am I to blame
For falling in love with someone
Who thinks I'm a basket case
But I also can't blame you
For your own selfishness
For wanting to be alone
And for wanting your space
Because you too were built
With default settings
And we're all just fighting
To stay alive
